A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, got in touch with us when he realized a piece of uneven concrete in his walkway was creating a trip hazard. Not wanting anyone to take a tumble, he decided to begin the hunt for a company that could help. After finding our website, he decided to take advantage of our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Brad W, headed out to the home.

After Brad finished his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to give him his recommendation. Brad informed the homeowner that American Waterworks could fix his issue using our PolyLevel lifting solution. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back into place. Brad finished by saying that we finished our lifting process by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete slab, preventing unwanted elements from getting below the slab. The homeowner agreed and work was scheduled to begin a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team completed the lift with no complications. Now our customers can enjoy their concrete walkway, free of trips!

Sunken Concrete Gets Lifted in Minneapolis, MN

A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner had noticed that the concrete walkway leading to her front stoop had been sinking over the year. It was beginning to pull away from the stoop and had created a large trip hazard. The homeowner didn't want anyone to take an unnecessary tumble, so she began to look for concrete repair in Minnesota. When she found American Waterworks, she was impressed with our concrete before and after pictures and decided to sign up for her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Adam V, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home to see what could be done.

After Adam finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner to inform her that we could address the situation using our PolyLevel injection. Adam informed her that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when it is injected beneath sinking concrete. As it expands, it slowly fills voids left by soil erosion and, in the process, lifts the concrete back to its desired location. Adam went on to say that once the lift had been completed, he would want to see the cracks and joints of the concrete sealed with our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant works to prevent moisture from getting below the slab, potentially compromising the lift. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and scheduled the job for several weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Troy W, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no issues. Now, our customer can confidently walk out her front door knowing her uneven concrete has been fixed!

Settling Walkway in Minneapolis, MN Lifted

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, had a growing issue of concrete slabs sinking in his walkway. Knowing it would only continue to worsen, the homeowner decided to tackle the issue immediately by contacting us and scheduling his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions the homeowner had, and provide the best solution. Brad explained to the homeowner that soil washout is one of the most common reasons for sinking concrete slabs. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away supporting soils, causing the slabs to settle. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof foam expanding formula, to lift the concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant, to seal the steps. The homeowner happily agreed to Brad's recommendation and scheduled the installation date.

In about a month, our crew arrived at the home to carry out the installation. PolyLevel is installed by first drilling small 3/8 inch holes into the slabs. Using an injection gun, PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the voids in the concrete. Once the slab has been lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, they sealed the joints of the steps with NexusPro.

Settling Porch Lifted in Bloomington, MN

A homeowner in Bloomington, MN was concerned when he noticed how badly his back porch had sunken causing the area to be a trip hazard, and decided to look into concrete lifting services in the area. The homeowner found our website and was extremely impressed with our before and after photos and decided to contact us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the concrete. During the inspection, our Design Specialist explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground beneath the slab and washes away the supporting soils. Over time, this causes the slab to sink. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended PolyLevel, a waterproof polyurethane formula that allows for accurate leveling of concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that is both flexible and highly durable to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to our Design Specialist's recommendation.

In about a month, our Foreman, Dylon V., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and inserting the injection ports. Then, PolyLevel is injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the concrete slab has been lifted, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew used NexusPro to seal the joints. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
