The foundation and concrete blocks of Dirk G.'s home in Red Lake, MN was starting to cave in and the home was starting to fall in. Dirk got in contact with American Waterworks and our Design Specialist, Nick, went to his home to inspect his walls and determine a solution that would fit his needs and budget. Dirk was confident in the solution of our PowerBraces, so he went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Cameron, and his production crew installed 12 of our PowerBraces to straighten the foundation walls. In about a week, our Design Specialist, Mac C., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the basement. Mac explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of foundation damage is hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is pressure exerted by a fluid. When it rains or floods, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation. Water then puts tremendous pressure against the walls. To fix this issue, Mac recommended CarbonArmor, our wall reinforcing system that quickly and affordably reinforces and stabilizes foundation walls. The homeowner happily agreed to Mac's recommendation and decided to move forward with the project.
In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Kiko P., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed a total of 16 CarbonArmor. Once they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
