Kelly S. of Jamestown, ND wanted her crawl space encapsulated and her sagging floors lifted. She knew of our Design Specialist, Ian, so she had him come out to her house for a FREE estimate and inspection. While Ian was there, he looked around and diagnosed the problems in the crawl space, and drew up a detailed solution. Kelly was confident in Ian's proposal, so she signed the contract, put down a deposit, and went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Ryan, and his crew started the project by installing our Crawl Space Support Posts, which lift and stabilize the sagging floors and floor joists. This system can hold up to loads of 60,000 pounds and is corrosion-resistant. It is also compatible with our crawl space encapsulation system, which in this case, Kelly did want hers encapsulated as well. Next, our crew installed our encapsulation vapor barrier around the entire crawl space, which is made to prevent mold, humidity, and pests, provide extra storage space, and save money on energy bills. A customer from Jamestown, ND got in contact with us when they began losing sleep over a crumbling wall in their basement. Our customer knew that if he left the wall untreated he could run the risk of severely damaging the structural integrity of his home. When he called in we were able to set him up with our FREE estimate, which entitles customers to a thorough 3-hour inspection by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to do his inspection. Once completed, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could best fix the issue. Kole wanted to use two of our products to address the failing wall. First, he recommended the use of our Helical Piers to take some of the load off the foundation itself. These piers are used to provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation is transferred to the pier. He explained that our helical piers can help lift settled foundations back to the original level and that they are the ideal pier for a lighter structure. Kole also recommended the use of our ShotLock system, which entails encasing our PowerBrace, rebar, and steel mesh behind 4-6' of concrete. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew ended up installing 5 of our helical piers along with 34 feet of ShotLock through the basement of the home. When the work was completed, our customer was relieved to know that he could rest peacefully knowing that the foundation of his home was stable and secure.
