Radon Levels Mitigated in Raymond, MN

A Raymond, MN, homeowner had just learned of the dangers of radon gas. He didn't want his family to be victim to the hazardous gas, so he began to look for radon mitigators in MN. After searching the internet, he found our website. After looking through our radon mitigation pictures, he signed up for his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Jesse W, headed out to the home.

After Jesse finished his inspection, he informed the homeowner that he was recommended the installation of a radon mitigation system. When installed by an experienced radon mitigation specialist, a radon abatement system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. A typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. The homeowner agreed with Jesse's recommendation, and work was scheduled for some time later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Jackson P, headed out to the home. He was able to install the system with no issues. Now, our customer can breathe easy knowing that his radon problem has been solved!

Dangerous Radon Levels Finds Solution in Fifty Lakes, MN

In Fifty Lakes, MN, a homeowner came upon an article that discusses the dangers radon poses in homes. Through the article, he learned that radon is a by-product of uranium, which can be found in soil. As uranium decays, it produces radium, which eventually turns into radon gas. Since uranium is in soil, it makes radon unavoidable. Worried that his family was breathing in the toxic fumes, he decided to look into services in the area. He came upon our website and was pleased to see our Before and After photos of our radon mitigation system. He quickly contacted us to claim his FREE estimate and scheduled an appointment with our Design Specialist.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, James N., arrived at the home to start the radon monitoring test. He set this test up in the lowest level of the home and explained to the homeowner that the test would need to run for at least 48 hours. James reassured the homeowner that his decision to have the home tested was good as we cannot see, touch, smell, taste, or hear radon. He further explained that we offer a radon mitigation system that uses a large-diameter plastic pipe that suctions out the air beneath your foundation and vents it outdoors. The homeowner was thankful for James's permanent solution to prevent dangerous radon levels in the future.

In about a week, the test results came back above 4 pCi/L, which is the Environmental Protection Agency's required action level for radon. The homeowner contacted us to schedule the installment of our radon mitigation system.

In a couple of weeks, our Radon Sales & Service Technician, Jackson P., arrived at the home for the installation. When he finished installing the system, the homeowner was relieved he no longer had to worry about breathing in the toxic fumes.

Radon Mitigation in Lynd, MN

Cassidy B. in Lynd, MN  had her home tested for radon. When the results came back high, she started doing some research. She was happy to learn that American Waterworks can easily give an estimate and install a radon mitigation system. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Reed Hudson, to meet with Cassidy, inspect her home, and design a customized system.

Our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, started the installation process by drilling a hole in the slab foundation of the home and connected a PVC pipe. The radon gas is drawn upward and the pipe guides it to the fan. The fan draws and vents radon safely above and away from the home. Cassidy was impressed with the quick installation and is glad she took the necessary steps to protect her family.
