A homeowner in Northwood, ND, was concerned once they noticed their basement ceiling was sagging. Concerned this could been damaging, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner asked their friends and family for any recommendations. One of their friends recommended working with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner decided to take a closer look at the services we provide and was impressed with our previous projects. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of James, one of our Design Specialists. James arrived at the home and began the detailed inspection of the basement. While investigating, James discovered the floors needed to be permanently stabilized with SmartJacks. James completed the inspection and presented his proposal to the homeowner. After hearing James' proposal, the homeowner knew this was the best option for their home. Once the plans were approved by the homeowner, it was sent to our office to be approved. After receiving the final stamp of approval, the proposal was sent to our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, the crew ensured the home was ready for the SmartJack installation. The crew installed two SmartJacks along the struggling wall. Once the SmartJacks were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their home was properly stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to provide its homeowners peace of mind knowing their basement was properly stabilized.
A homeowner was in their basement when they discovered water damage and immediately panicked. Knowing the winter months were approaching, the homeowners wanted to get ahead of any further damage. While comparing different basement waterproofing services, the homeowner determined American Waterworks was the best fit. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate with Design Specialist, Ian, and the waterproofing began. Ian suggested that WaterGuard be installed around the perimeter of the leaking room, then CleanSpace be placed on the walls, and finally, a new sump pump be installed. After presenting the plan, the homeowners agreed and the project began. Before the job, the homeowner was asked to remove the shelves around the construction area. Our crew drove out to the property and started by creating channels around the full perimeter of the home. Next, the crew removed the old sump pump system and installed the SuperSump+ in the home. Then the crew installed the CleanSpace System on top of the exposed wall. The crew completed the full waterproofing of the basement. The homeowner was thankful their basement was saved and American Waterwork was pleased to help another customer.

In the end, he agreed with John that the foundation of the basement was causing issues. He recommended John invest in our supplemental beams and SmartJack system to give his home further stabilization. Our Foreman, Gabriel, and his crew completed the project in a timely manner so we could help restore John's confidence in his home.
A homeowner in Morgan, MN, recently read an article discussing radon and how it is dangerous in your home. Radon is an odorless, tasteless, and invisible gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Concerned about the levels in their home, the homeowner began looking into "dangerous levels of radon". One of the first articles to catch their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner read our article discussing the dangers of radon. The homeowner noted that we also provided Radon Mitigation services. After reading the article, the homeowner was impressed with our excellent knowledge and radon mitigation services, so they signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Eric. The following week, Eric traveled to the home to begin the estimate. Eric arrived at the home and started the radon test. While the radon test was being completed, Eric began scouting for the best location to place the Radon Mitigation System. After the test finished, Eric reviewed the results and saw that the levels were above 4 pCi. To lower the levels, Eric recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System outside the home. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with the recommendations. Our Logistics team received the plans, then they were built and scheduled for a few weeks later. The project was scheduled with our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew, then they went to the home to begin the installation. Dakota installed the Radon Mitigation System along the west wall. Our Radon Mitigation System consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. After Dakota installed the Radon Mitigation System, he and his crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was glad to know their radon risk was eliminated. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowners peace of mind knowing their radon risk is eliminated.
Myron M. in Morton, MN was visiting a local home show and he found the American Waterworks booth. He had a cracked foundation wall and he had heard we repair foundations, so he stopped to speak with one of our Design Specialists. We set up a time to give him a FREE onsite estimate, so we could inspect his basement and provide him with a solution. After evaluating his foundation, we recommended installing wall anchors to permanently stabilize his foundation wall. He was pleased with the solution and happy he wouldn’t have to replace his foundation, so he scheduled the installation.
Our production team started the installation by drilling small holes through the block foundation and inserting long metal rods. Then, they secured the ends of the rods with anchor plates and tightened them as far as they could go. Our wall anchor system is designed with galvanized steel, allowing for long-term corrosion resistance. Each anchor system also includes a 25-year warranty against manufacturing defects, and each installation includes our own performance warranty. Myron was impressed with the installation and is thrilled that he no longer has to be concerned about the structural integrity of his foundation.
