Radon Mitigation Installation in Fargo, ND

In Fargo, ND, a homeowner had recently learned about radon. It is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the breakdown of soil beneath the home. When inhaled over a long-period of time, it increases the risk for lung cancer. Concerned their family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic gas, they decided to purchase a radon testing kit. After a couple of days, the test results exceeded 4 pCi/L, the EPA's recommended action level for radon. The homeowner then took action and contacted us to schedule their FREE radon mitigation inspection.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, James N., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the layout of the home and worked closely with the homeowner on the best placement of our radon mitigation system. James recommended having the fan installed at the exterior of the home and having it connect to the sump pump in the basement. This is designed this way so that our fan can suction out the radon air and expel it above the roofline before it can enter the home. Happy with the solution, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Jackson P., arrived at the home for the installation. After the radon mitigation system was successfully installed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Fargo, ND, Sunken Concrete Repair

A local church in Fargo, ND, noticed its steps were sinking and uneven. Uncertain of the cause, the homeowner looked into "sunken concrete repair near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the church knew that we were the ideal choice for their project. Since they were already on our website, the church decided to request their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the church prepared for the arrival of our Design Speicalist, Jackson. A few days later, Jackson traveled to the home to begin the thorough inspection. During the inspection, Jackson noted that several areas were sinking due to settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, Jackson recommended securing PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Jackson to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Charlie and his crew inserted PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew shifted to repairing the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. After all the products were secured, the crew shifted to cleaning up their matierals and leaving the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. Damaged Foundation Repaired in Renville, MN

A home in Renville, MN had major structural issues in the basement and the bank that owned the home knew that they value would be decreased if it was not repaired. The bank called American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew,  to the home to meet with a bank representative. Shane designed a plan to permanently repair the foundation using wall anchors, and the bank approved of the solution, so we scheduled an installation.

Our crew drilled long, metal rods through the block foundation wall and into the soil surrounding the home. They secured the rods by installing anchor plates on each end and tightening them as far as they could go. The anchors should continue to be tightened over time as well to help straighten the wall back to its original position. Our wall anchors are also backed by a lifetime warranty that is transferable between homeowners. The foundation has been permanently stabilized.
