High Radon Levels Mitigated in Moorhead, MN

In Moorhead, MN, a homeowner recently learned how radon gas is the second leading cause of lung-cancer in the US. Concerned their family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic fumes, the homeowner purchased a radon testing kit. After a couple of days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, which is the recommended action level for radon by the EPA. The homeowner quickly took action and contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, James N., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the layout of the home and worked closely with the homeowner on the best placement of our radon mitigation system. He recommended having our fan installed on the exterior of the home and having it connect to the concrete floor in the basement. This is designed this way so that our system could suction our the radon-rich gas and expel it above the roofline. After looking over the proposal, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Jackson P., arrived at the home for the installation. He began by drilling a hole through the concrete floor in the basement. Then, PVC piping is installed and connected to the exterior of the home. From there, the fan is installed and additional piping is attached to go above the roofline. Once the installation was completed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Moorhead, MN, Sinking Walkway Lifted

A homeowner in Moorhead, MN, noticed it was time to schedule their annual maintenance. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and scheduled their annual maintenance appointment with our Service team. Once the appointment was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Service Technician, Marc. A few days later, Marc traveled to the home to begin the thorough inspection of the installed products. During the inspection, the homeowner mentioned to Marc that the walkway from the home to the garage was sinking significantly. Marc took a closer look and confirmed the walkway was sinking due to settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, Marc suggested lifting and leveling the sidewalk back to its original position. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Marc to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Charlie and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew shifted to repairing the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. As soon as both products were secured, Charlie and his crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. Sunken Driveway Lifted in Cyrus, MN

A homeowner in Cyrus, MN, noticed that his driveway had developed cracks and become uneven. Concerned that it would worsen and become a tripping hazard, he searched for concrete services in the area. He came upon our website, was impressed with our job stories, and decided to contact us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Tony B., arrived at the home to assess the driveway. Tony explained to the homeowner that one of the common reasons for sinking and cracked concrete is soil washout. As it rains and floods, the water moves through the ground underneath the concrete, and it can wash away the supporting soil holding up the slab. For this reason, Tony recommended our PolyLevel, to lift the concrete so that the driveway would be even. The homeowner happily agreed with his plans, and Tony's design was sent to our Foreman, Charlie C.

In about two weeks, Charlie and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slab and injection ports and installed them. Then, PolyLevel is injected underneath the slab and expands in the space between the slab and the soil. Once the concrete has been lifted, the crew ensures that it is fully leveled before sealing the holes with concrete. Once the crew was done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
