Sue A. in Sparta, WI was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. She had an older basement, and the water was seeping in through the small cracks where the wall meets the floor. She contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to meet with her and evaluate the situation. Rick designed a thorough plan and assured Sue that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement. Next, they installed 78 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and our SuperSump sump pump. Then, they installed two feet of our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Sue was thrilled with the results, and glad she chose to invest in a permanent solution for her home.
Janice B. in Necedah, WI noticed a foul smell and rust-colored water building up in her yard and seeping into her basement, clogging the sump pump. She contacted American Waterworks, and we sent our Design Specialist, Rick Weber, to her home to evaluate her situation. He discovered that Janice had a buildup of iron ochre in her old sump pump and outside her home. He explained that it is not a known health hazard but can quickly clog a French drain system and cause damage to pipes and plumbing systems. He presented her with our WaterGuard IOS Perimeter Drain Channel, which is ideal for managing this problem. Janice was impressed with Rick’s presentation and our products and moved forward with an installation date.
Our production crew replaced her old sump pump and installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is backed by three layers of protection and can easily take on the challenge of iron ochre. Our sump pumps are able to pump out ½" solids without clogging. Janice was impressed with the installation and is happy knowing her sump pump is free of iron ochre infiltration.
Diane B. in Sparta, WI contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on TV. She noticed her garage floor was uneven, and she feared the problem was only going to get worse. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Brian Ramirez, to meet with Diane and evaluate the situation. After his inspection, Brian recommended our Foundation Push Pier System to provide a permanent solution to her settlement issue.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew started the installation by excavating the soil surrounding the home where the foundation had started settling until they reached the bottom of the footings. Then, they secured brackets under the footings and inserted the piers until they hit competent, supportive soil. The piers transfer the weight of the home to the supportive soil, preventing further settlement. The crew wrapped up the project with installing our frost protection system to protect against frost damage. Then, they replaced the soil and cleaned up their work area. Diane was happy she chose to invest in the stability of her home, and we are glad we could restore her peace of mind!
A homeowner in Sparta, WI was unhappy with the way her front stoop looked. She noticed that it had sunken a lot over the years and could easily see the line where it was supposed to be. She was hoping to find a solution to raise it back up rather than have to replace the stoop as a whole. Finding the American Waterworks website in her concrete repair search, she was immediately interested in our FREE no-obligation estimates. She signed up for her own and was greeted by Design Specialist Will Reader. Will inspected the area and assured the homeowner that the problem was fixable with the help of two products. The homeowner was pleased with the plan and agreed for the installation process to move forward. We sent over one of our Foremen, Troy Johnson, and his crew to the site where they carefully lifted the stoop with PolyLevel foam and sealed the open joints with NexusPro sealant. The homeowner was glad to have the stoop raised again and looking even better than before thanks to our team.

A homeowner in Sparta, WI, was dealing with an area of sunken concrete in front of an exterior door. He had taken one tumble too many and decided that it was time to start the search for a company that could fix the area. On the recommendation of a friend, he decided to call American Waterworks and set up a FREE estimate appointment, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Will R, headed out to the home.
Once Will did a thorough inspection of the area, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendation. Will stated that American Waterworks could address the sinking concrete by using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. Will went on to say that we finish our lifting process by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete and works to prevent debris and moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner liked the plan Will laid out, and decided to schedule the work to be completed a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Ryan T, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no complications. Now, our customers can enjoy his outdoor space without the worries of taking a tumble!
