A homeowner from Spring Valley, WI, was down in the basement of his home one evening when he realized one of his basement walls was showing signs of bowing inward. He had no idea who to call about the issue, so he immediately took to the internet and searched 'structural foundation repair near me.' He quickly found our website and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Mac, was headed out to the home.
When Mac arrived, he got right to work assessing the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowner. He began by saying that there are numerous causes of foundation failure but that he believed we had a solution to the problem. Mac wanted to use our CarbonArmor wall reinforcement straps. Mac explained that CarbonArmor straps are a quick, affordable way to stabilize block and poured concrete walls that have cracked and that are showing signs of bowing. The super strong carbon fiber straps are attached to the wall with epoxy and halt further movement or cracks. The homeowner liked Mac's plan and signed on the spot.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jesus C, led his team through the successful installation of 13 CarbonArmor straps throughout the basement. Now, our customer can put his foundation worries behind him!
Does your wall seem like it's bowing inward? Might be worth claiming your FREE estimate with American Waterworks to rule out any serious foundation concerns!
The customer had water on the floor and wood paneling that was damaged from years of water damage. American Waterworks installed our patented waterproofing and wall system.
A loyal client of American Waterworks contacted us for assistance in leveling off the concrete sidewalk leading up to the front porch of his home. American Waterworks was able to lift and level the slabs with no trouble at all, using our patented PolyLEVEL concrete leveling solution. For added protection and to prevent any further shifting, American Waterworks applied a joint sealant called Nexus Pro.
Phillip W. in Red Wing, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred by another contractor. He had water leaking into his basement through his foundation, and he was concerned about the health implications and damage it could cause. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, to meet with him and propose a permanent solution for his home. Phillip was impressed with the products and design and moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production crew began the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement to make a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. Then, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. They finished the project by filling back the gaps with rock, replacing the concrete, and cleaning up their work area. Phillip was pleased with the results and hasn’t had a drop of water in his basement since the installation!
Dan M. in Red Wing, MN already had our waterproofing system installed in his basement, but when his test results for radon come back high, he contacted us about having a radon mitigation system installed. The EPA recommends mitigation if the radon levels of a home are at or above 4 pCi/L, and Dan wanted the problem taken care of as soon as possible.
Our production crew started the installation by creating a suction point through the sump pit for the PVC pipe. Then, they ran the piping up the basement wall, to outside of the home, and up to the roof. We installed a fan in the piping to ensure the radon gas is pushed out and away from the home. Our radon mitigation system is compatible with Dan’s current waterproofing system and was easily installed. The installation only took a couple hours, and Dan’s peace of mind has been restored.
