Dave P. in Cleveland, MN noticed his patio concrete had settled and was uneven in a couple of spots. He was unhappy with the way it looked and wanted it completely level and to have the cracks sealed. After researching concrete repair contractors and receiving estimates, he decided to have American Waterworks repair his concrete.
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots in patio until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they caulked and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and Dave was very pleased with the results!

In Cleveland, MN, a homeowner had learned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US and can be found in any household. Concerned that their family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic fumes, the homeowner decided to test their home for radon. After a couple of days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, which is the EPA's recommended action level for radon. Remembering they had an upcoming annual maintenance with us, the homeowner knew it was the best time to address their issues.
On the scheduled date, our Service Technician, Glenn T., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the products we had previously installed and ensured everything was working properly. Then, he addressed the homeowner's concern by recommending our radon mitigation system. This system is designed to suction out the radon gas beneath the home and expel it above the roofline before it can enter the home. Confident in our team, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. Once the system was successfully installed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Eric H., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the foundation walls and identified which needed to be secured. After reporting his findings, Eric explained the importance of taking early action against the foundation movement. Store-bought fixes do not resolve the cause of the issue, making it extremely important for a foundation repair expert to assess the situation to determine the right solution to prevent further movement. To stabilize the foundation walls, Eric recommended installing GeoLock, our wall anchoring system. This works by anchoring the interior wall to stable soil several feet away from the foundation. Happy to see that the product comes with a warranty, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Fernando P., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. Then, the earth anchor is placed and connected to the interior wall plate with a steel pole. Once both plates are connected, they are tightened. The crew successfully installed 8 GeoLock anchors.

John G. in Janesville, MN wanted to sell his home, but he had a settling foundation. In order to get the best value for his home, he needed to repair his foundation. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide a personalized solution. John was impressed with our products and the warranty behind them, so he scheduled the installation.
Our production crew started the installation by digging out the soil surrounding the home where the foundation was settling. Then, they installed heavy-duty steel brackets below the footing of the foundation. Next, rugged, interlocking steel pier sections are hydraulically driven through the bracket until bedrock or stable soil is reached. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load-bearing soil. The installation took roughly two days to complete, but now the foundation of John’s home is permanently stabilized, and it is ready to be put on the market!
