Radon Mitigation in Dennison, MN

Nick M. in Dennison, MN had learned about the dangers of radon gas and decided that he needed to get his home tested. The test results showed a high level of radon. Our Design Specialist walked him through the radon mitigation installation process and answered his questions. Nick wanted to act quickly and moved forward with an installation date.

Our radon mitigation specialists drilled a hole through the concrete basement to create a suction point for the gas. Then, a PVC pipe is inserted which goes up through the house and exits the home through the roof. A fan is installed at the top of the PVC pipe to ensure that the radon gas is being pushed away from the home. The post mitigation test results showed that his home is now a much safer environment. The installation took only one day to complete, and Nick is glad he took action to protect his and his family’s health.

Failing Wall Addressed in Dennison, MN

A homeowner from Dennison, MN, was down in his basement one day when he realized his basement wall seemed to be tilting inward. He had been aware of several large cracks forming in the foundation and knew that this was the final indicator that he needed to seek professional help to restore the wall. He began to look for foundation repair MN and quickly found our website. He was impressed with our reviews and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate.

Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Brian R, headed out to the home. After conducting a thorough inspection of the issue, Brian informed the homeowner that he wanted to use our Channel Anchors to address the failing wall. He explained that this system is versatile and effective and can stabilize walls that are bowing, tipping, pushing in at the bottom, tilting at the top, or showing similar signs of failure. They are installed with minimal disturbance to your lawn and landscaping, often in a day or less. This warrantied solution includes a complete wall anchor system and a channel anchor that mounts on your foundation floor and wall for optimal bracing and failure protection. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and scheduled the job for several weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Raul B, and his team successfully installed 5 of our Channel Anchors throughout the basement. Now, our homeowner can breathe easy knowing his foundation worries are in the past!

DIY Sump Pump Was No Match For This Forest City, IA Basement

After purchasing their Forest City, IA home, Matt & Jenni decided to contact American Waterworks to have a new sump pump installed in their basement after realizing the DIY version wasn't keeping up with the demands of their home. American Waterworks was a no-brainer for these two, as our Team had previously installed our Geo-Lock Foundation Wall Anchor reinforcement system in the home back in 2013.

Cracked Foundation Repaired with Wall Anchors in Forest City, IA

Christina M. in Forest City, IA noticed some cracking and bowing of her basement wall and was concerned about the pressure that was being put on her foundation. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to inspect her home and provide her with the best solution. Ryan developed a thorough, unique proposal to permanently restore her foundation. Christina approved of the plan and scheduled the installation.

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew drilled small holes through the failing block foundation and into the soil surrounding the home. They secured each end of the metal rods with anchor plates and tightened them as far as they would go. Wall anchors should be tightened over time to continue the process of straightening the damaged wall. Having wall anchors installed saved this foundation from failing completely and now Christina’s peace of mind is restored knowing her foundation is permanently stabilized.

Waterproofing in Forest City, IA

Bryan A. in Forest City, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. The water had started to cause damage to his property and was creating a musty, unhealthy space. He heard our advertisement on the radio and decided to give us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Dylan designed a thorough plan and assured Bryan that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed 164 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and 36 feet of lateral line. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Bryan was pleased with the results, and glad he made the investment to protect his home.
