Bruce W. in Ellendale, MN noticed that his concrete on his driveway was uneven in a couple of spots and was interested in making repairs and cosmetic changes to his home, starting with his driveway and sidewalk. His goal was to have the driveway completely level and have the cracks sealed. After researching concrete repair contractors and receiving estimates, he decided to have American Waterworks repair his concrete.
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots throughout the driveway and sidewalk until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and Bruce was very pleased with the results!

John J. noticed the basement of the Jaguar Communications Building in Owatonna, MN was leaking water. He was using this space as an office area and knew that he needed a permanent solution. He contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate and met with Pete Wangen, one of our Design Specialists. Pete designed a thorough plan that was specific to John’s waterproofing needs, and John decided to move forward with the installation of our waterproofing system.
Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew removed the concrete around the perimeter of the room and laid our WaterGuard drainage system. This system guides water properly to the SuperSump sump pump, which then discharges the water to the outside of the building. Then, the crew installed our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier to protect the walls from any water seepage and prevent mold growth. John was pleased with the results and glad he made the investment to protect his building.

Bill S. in Owatonna, MN had water leaking into his basement where the floor met the wall. It had started to create a musty smell, and he wanted a permanent solution. After a friend recommended American Waterworks, he gave us a call and set up an appointment to meet with Chad Johnson, one of our Design Specialists. Chad worked side-by-side with Bill to design a unique solution for his home. Bill was impressed with the plan and moved forward with an installation date.
Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production crew began the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard is our recommended and most widely used drain system. It's popular because of its resistance to clogs, its easy-to-access service ports, and its ability to also collect leaking water from the basement walls. Then, the crew connected the WaterGuard to a SuperSump sump pump and hung our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls for a bright, clean look. Bill was pleased with the results and glad he no longer has to worry about a wet, unhealthy basement!
The representatives at Stadheim Properties in Owatonna, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred by another contractor. The building had two foundation walls that were cracked and bowing. They were remodeling the building at the time and wanted an estimate and the work done as soon as possible. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to meet with the representatives, evaluate the situation, and propose a solution for the building. Ryan recommended our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors to permanently stabilize the walls.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew got to work installing the 26 Geo-Lock Channel Anchors. They began the project by excavating the soil outside of the building and drilling small holes through the foundation wall that correspond to each anchor location. The steel anchor rods were driven through the holes, extending all the way to the earth anchor holes where an anchor plate was securely attached. After fastening the earth anchor outside, the crew mounted the steel channel anchors to the foundation wall on the inside and secured the channel anchors to the floor for optimal bracing and failure protection. The Geo-Lock system stops the foundation walls from moving inwards and also provides the opportunity to straighten the walls over time. The representatives at Stadheim Properties were happy with the results and glad they chose to invest in a long-term solution.
