A homeowner from Minnetonka, MN, noticed that his front walkway was beginning to separate from his front step, causing an eyesore and, more importantly, a trip hazard. He decided to start the search for a company that could fix the issue. He saw one of our printed ads in a local magazine and decided to give us a call and claim his FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Mitch S, headed to the home to see what could be done. 

Once Mitch completed his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner and informed him that American Waterworks could address the sinking with the help of our PolyLevel solution. He explained that PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. He finished by saying that we finish all of our concrete installs with our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete and works to prevent any unwanted moisture or debris from getting beneath the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of Mitch's plan, and a few weeks later the project began.

The extreme soil washout below had caused a void to form below the slab, leading to the eventual crack of the concrete slab. This crack had resulted in a nasty trip hazard. The homeowner didn't want any guests or family members to take a tumble over the uneven concrete so he decided to take action. The homeowners had American Waterworks out to their homes to deal with an issue in previous years, so they called us up again to see if someone could come take a look at the concrete. 

A few weeks later, their original Design Specialist, Brian R, headed out to the home. Brian explained that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel. He explained that PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It fills voids left by soil erosion, and slowly lifts the sunken slabs back to their original position. Brian went on to say that he wanted to preserve the lift with the installation of our NexusPro, stating that NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete. It has been specially designed to stand up against harsh weather conditions, ensuring the lift is protected. Darin recommended the use of our PowerBrace system. The PowerBrace™ is a patented foundation wall repair system that's designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. These steel I-beams will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustment. Over time, the PowerBrace™ System can be tightened to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical. The homeowner agreed with Darin and scheduled the work for some time later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jose C, and his team installed 16 of our PowerBraces throughout the basement. Now, our customer can enjoy her home knowing her foundation worries have been corrected!

 Mr. Conner's foundation walls are cracking and pushing inward due to the expansive soils and hydrostatic pressure on the walls from outside his home. We recommended installing eleven Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing wall to stabilize and restore the wall back to its original position.  The soil anchors were placed in the ground outside his home. Steel rods attached to soil anchors extend through the foundation wall and wall plates. Wall plates distribute clamping pressure. Tightening nuts on the threaded ends of the rods stabilize the wall for a permanent solution.

Gordon G. in Mankato, MN had a bowing foundation wall in his basement. He saw an ad for American Waterworks in the phone book and called us to see if we could help him. We were happy to send our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton, to his home to do a free onsite estimate. Eric developed a plan to have our team install anchors along the bowing wall to secure and stabilize it. 

The installation process took two days, and Gordon was pleased that he could see immediate results. Our crew left him with a tightening kit so that he could continue tightening the anchors over time until the wall is completely straightened.
