Leaky Crawl Space Gets Transformed in Maple Grove, Mn

A Maple Grove, MN homeowner was worried about his crawl space. He had heard horror stories about damp crawl spaces growing mold, mildew, and other airborne allergens without homeowners knowing. Worried about the safety and health of his family, he decided to search for crawl space sealing specialists in the area, and quickly found American Waterworks. He was impressed with our product lineup, and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate.

Several weeks later our Design Specialist, Ryan, headed out to the home. Ryan wasted no time diving into the crawl space to assess it's health. When he finished, he informed the homeowner that his crawl space was showing signs of water intrusion, but the damage wasn't as bad as the homeowner feared. Ryan commended him for checking in with his crawl space, and explained to him that a few of our products could help with the water intrusion. First, Ryan explained he wanted to use a product called drainage matting. He explained that this dimpled matting gets laid down on the crawl space floor, giving the water flooding into the space a channel underneath a crawl space liner. The drainage matting directs water flooding the crawl space to a crawl space drain and sump system. Second, Ryan wanted to use our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal off the space. Ryan informed the homeowner that CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is perfect for crawl spaces. It's durable, washable, and anti-microbial. Ryan went on to say that this product would be installed on top of the drainage matting so further preventer water from getting into the space. The homeowner was happy with Ryan's explanation and recommendation, and the two scheduled an install date.

Once the project had been completed, the homeowner was thrilled to know that his crawl space was no longer harming his home's health!
