Gary, from Lake Lillian, MN, began to notice a bow in the foundation walls of his lake home. The bowing of the wall resulted in cracks within the foundation, allowing water to seep through and causing a wet basement. Gary decided to call American Waterworks and claim his FREE estimate, which entitled him to a complete home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Shane, headed to the home. He began a thorough home inspection to get a proper diagnosis of the situation and provide the best solutions to help Gary not only solve his issue but prevent any other issues from arising. Once the inspection was done, Shane recommended that Gary invest in our PowerBrace Wall System. Gary agreed with the solution and proceeded to schedule a date of installation.
Once set, our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew began strategically placing PowerBraces around the basement, inserting 5 9' PowerBraces to stabilize the wall further. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the home's support beams and the concrete on which the house lies. The team also inserted 6 GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue. This innovative system stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation; the anchors can be tightened over time.
Now Gary lives worry-free, and the foundation of his lake home is in jeopardy of worsening. If you are experiencing a similar issue, contact American Waterworks today and claim your FREE estimate!!
Joe D. of Garrison, MN had an uneven patio, leading to cracks near his screen door. He found our office number online and called to set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ben Fort. Ben went to his home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Joe was comfortable with Ben's plan, so he went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, James Jacques, and his crew member started the project by screwing small holes into the concrete. In each hole, James injected our PolyLevel, which is a unique, expanding foam that fills the gaps caused by soil erosion and raises the concrete surface. Next, our crew applied our NexusPro to the crack, which is a sealant that provides long-term flexibility and prevents any further cracking or bubbling. Joe was satisfied with the project and had a great experience!
Water was leaking through the floor of Debbie and Pete K.'s cabin in Garrison, MN, causing them to worry about water damage. They went on HomeAdvisor and came across American Waterworks so they got a FREE Estimate scheduled with our Design Specialist, Shane. Shane went to their cabin, inspected the water leaks, and proposed the solution of our WaterGuard Drainage System. Debbie and Pete were happy with Shane's proposal so they signed it, wrote out a deposit, and got a date scheduled for the install.
Our Foreman, Edgar, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. Our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System in the trench, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water leaks from basement walls. To complete the installation, Edgar and his team covered the open-floor gaps with river rock and pea gravel and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space was neat and clean.

A homeowner in Atwater, MN saw a commercial on television discussing the dangers of high radon levels. Concerned about the levels, the homeowner wanted to have their home tested. After hearing we completed radon testing, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once their estimate was finalized, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Kevin, one of our Design Specialists. Kevin arrived at the home and began the radon testing. Following the test, the results were 8pCi/l, alarmingly high. After sharing these results with the homeowner, Kevin recommended that a radon mitigation system be installed on the home. The homeowner immediately agreed and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew traveled to the home to install the radon mitigation system on the home. After reviewing Kevin's plans, the crew placed the radon mitigation system on the side on the west side of the home. Once the radon system was successfully installed on the side of the home, the crew cleaned up their materials and left. The homeowner was relieved to know their high radon risk was eliminated and their levels were normal. American Waterworks is happy to eliminate radon risks in our customers' homes.
