Sunken Driveway in Holmen, WI

A homeowner in Holmen, WI was dealing with a sunken concrete driveway and was concerned about it getting worse. He wanted to make a change, but figured it was best to see what his options were before agreeing to a project. He was familiar with the American Waterworks name, but not quite sure what our services included. Once he looked into our website more and saw that we offered FREE no-obligation estimates, he signed up for his own estimate and was eager to move forward with the process. He was greeted by Design Specialist Brad Williams, who carried out an inspection of the concrete and gave his recommendations to the homeowner. Knowing that this was the best plan and confident in our services, the homeowner agreed to the installations. Dylon VanCanneyt, one of our Foremen, and his crew made their way to the site where they installed both our PolyLevel solution to lift and level the driveway, and NexusPro, a flexible sealant to fill in the joints. The homeowner was pleased with the final results and happy to be rid of her driveway problems.

Failing Wall Rescued in Holmen, WI

A homeowner from Holmen, WI, was awaiting an American Waterworks Service Technician out to his home to perform an annual maintenance on a system we had placed a few years back. The homeowner had new concerns for his home and decided to talk to our Service Technician, Kyle H, about them. When Kyle arrived, the homeowner explained that his basement wall was showing signs of cracking, and he was concerned that it could mean something worse for his home. Kyle dedicated extra time to the homeowner's concerns, and when he finished his inspection and annual maintenance, he met back up with the homeowner to discuss the wall. Kyle explained that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from above, not from the side. So when the pressure being exerted on the wall exceeds what the wall can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to observe cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom of the wall, and/or tilting inward at the top. Kyle followed up, saying that while the situation seemed daunting, he had the fix. Kyle urged the homeowner to consider installing our GeoLock wall anchors, a system of heavy-duty galvanized earth anchors that counteract the pressure being exerted on the wall by anchoring it to the undisturbed soil beyond the home's foundation, permanently stabilizing basement walls, offering the best opportunity to straighten the walls without the cost and disruption of foundation replacement. The homeowner liked Kyle's recommendation and decided to schedule the project.

Several months later, our Foreman, Kiko P, and his team were headed out to the home. Our team effortlessly installed 10 of our GeoLock anchors throughout the basement of the home. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his failing foundation won't be shifting any time soon!

Saint Lucas, IA Space Waterproofed

Darla from Saint Lucas, IA, needed a solution for her basement water issues. After looking around, she went on the American Waterworks website, and we set her up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian. Ian went to his home to inspect the space and devise a solution. Darla got all of her questions answered and was confident in Ian's proposal, so she moved forward with the project.

First, Foreman, Jeromy and his production crew started the installation by completing a full-wall demo and then breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System along the East and South walls of the basement where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, Jeromy and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Our team also worked to provide the space a more finished, insulated, and durable feel by installing our ZenWall™ Insulated Panels. The ZenWall™ panels provide insulation, waterproofing, and a finished appearance for basement walls. This patented system is ideal for homeowners interested in a more comfortable, energy-efficient basement. Are you having water problems in your basement?
