A customer from Blair, WI got in touch with us when he began to notice one of his basement walls was beginning to show signs of movement, a symptom of the first stage of wall failure. He knew that if he waited, the problem could result in serious damage to the structural integrity of the home. When he called in, we set him up with a FREE estimate with one of our Design Specialists, Dustin. When Dustin headed out to the property, he completed a thorough inspection of the issue and then made recommendations as to how we could help. He recommended the use of our GeoLock wall anchors to fix the issue. He explained that our anchors work to permanently stabilize the wall by anchoring the walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. He went on to say that once installed, the anchors can be tightened over time to move with the home. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Production crew led by our Foreman, Jose, ended up installing 6 of our GeoLock anchors around the perimeter of the basement. Once the job was completed, our customer was happy to know that he no longer had to worry about his compromised basement wall!

Our production Foreman and his team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer. In broken out trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System. Our WaterGuard is a special interior drainage system that collects leaking water from walls, prevents water clogs, and stays out of the "mud zone." Next, our team performed a Half Wall Demo and broke out the bottom half of the basement wall, and installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent water moisture and humidity, act as an extra wall protectant, and save money on energy bills.
