Drifting Concrete Driveway Repaired in Winona, MN

A homeowner in Winona, MN, knew it was time to have their falling-apart driveway repaired. Knowing they needed professional assistance, the homeowner began looking into concrete repair services near them. The homeowner did not need to look any further than Rochester, MN, home to American Waterworks. After hearing such wonderful reviews from their friends and family, the homeowner knew that we were the best choice for them. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Will. After Will arrived at the property, he started inspecting the driveway. Will determined the driveway desperately needed to be lifted and leveled. He proposed his findings and a solution to the homeowner, to which they agreed. After they were approved by the homeowner, they were sent to the office and then to our Foreman, Troy. Once Troy and his crew received the plans, they traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Troy and his crew started by lifting the driveway using PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam solution. After the driveway was lifted, the crew replaced all the driveway joints with NexusPro Joint Sealant, a silicone-based solution. Once all the joints were repaired, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful for the excellent work completed by the crew. Sunken Driveway Gets Lifted in Winona, MN

A homeowner from Winona, MN, was dealing with a sunken driveway. Because the driveway had sunken so much, the homeowner would need to step on the gas to enter the garage and then immediately slam on the brakes to ensure they didn't hit the wall of the garage. No longer wanting to put up with this issue, the homeowner decided to take action. During an online search, he found our website and decided to claim his FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Will R, headed out to the home.

Once Will completed his inspection of the concrete, he informed the homeowner that we could fix the issue with the help of our PolyLevel concrete lifting method. Will explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion and slowly lift the slabs back into place. He went on to say that our lifts are completed with the application of our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets applied to the cracks and joints of the concrete and works to prevent debris or moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and work began a few weeks later.

On the day of the install, our Foreman, Troy, and his team completed the lift and seal with no issues. Now, our customer can enter his garage without worrying about a stressful situation!

Upgraded Waterproofing System Saves Basement in Winona, MN

A homeowner from Winona, MN, was facing an issue with the existing sump pump in her basement. The homeowner had noticed that the sump pump cycled very often, even in times when there was no precipitation. The final straw occurred when her town received heavy amounts of rain and her sump system didn't turn on, leaving her with a mess in her basement. She decided to search for sump pump repairs in Minnesota and eventually found our website. She signed up for her FREE estimate and several weeks later, Mac C, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home to complete his inspection.

Mac made sure to pay extra attention to the sump in the basement. When he finished his walkthrough, he was ready to make his recommendations. Mac recommended two of our products that he believed would fix the problem. First, Mac informed the homeowner he wanted to use our WaterGuard, a unique below-floor French drain that sits atop the footing of the home's foundation. This placement allows the drain to stay out of the "mud zone" where other drains of this nature tend to clog. It works to catch water entering through holes and cracks and the floor, giving it a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, Mac wanted to be our TripleSafe sump pump. This pump is the most reliable pump in our lineup, providing three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. The homeowner liked the plan for her basement and decided to sign on the spot.

Several weeks later, Kiko, our Foreman, and his team headed out to complete the installation. Once he finished, our customer was thrilled to know she no longer had to worry about water intrusion!

Sump Pump Saves Basement in Winona, MN

A homeowner from Winona, MN, got in touch with us after her basement began taking on water after a hard rain. She signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ryan K, was out at the home.

Ryan got right to work assessing the basement. When he finished, he was ready to make his recommendations. First, Ryan wanted to use our WaterGuard perimeter drain. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor but atop the footing of the foundation, keeping it out of the 'mud zone' where other drains of its nature tend to clog. Ryan explained that this drain works to collect any water coming up through the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. During Ryan's inspection, he noticed that the basement lacked a means of disposing of the unwanted water, so he recommended our TripleSafe sump pump. This powerful pump is the most reliable in our lineup, offering three levels of protection for both your basement and your peace of mind. The homeowner agreed with his recommendations and decided to schedule the job for several weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Victor S, led his team through the successful installation of 20ft of WaterGuard and 1 TripleSafe sump. Now, our customer can enjoy the rain without wondering if it will end up in her basement!

Radon Gas Mitigated in Winona, MN

A homeowner from Winona, MN, had been listening to the radio when she heard a warning about radon gas. She knew very little about the dangers that radon gas can pose to a household. She decided that it was better to be safe than sorry, and vowed to find a radon mitigation company to test her home. When she found our website, she signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Nate B, was headed out to the home.

When Nate arrived, he began his inspection by placing a charcoal radon test on the lowest level of the home. Nate explained to the homeowner that this test is comprised of an airtight container with activated charcoal being opened in the home and radon in the air absorbed into the charcoal granules, giving our team an accurate reading of the radon within the home. Nate went on to say that, should the results return higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly urge the homeowner to consider installing a radon mitigation system. He explained that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. The homeowner liked Adam's approach but decided to wait until the results returned to make a choice. A few short days later, the results returned at 8 pCi/L, double the levels recommended by the EPA. The homeowner called Adam and the two worked together to find a day for our team to come back to install the system.

Several weeks later, our Foreman, Dakota M, was headed to the home. Dakota and his team were able to seamlessly place the radon system in the home, successfully restoring our customer's peace of mind in the air circulating the home!
