A homeowner in Valley City, ND, read an article discussing the dangers of radon. Worried about the levels in their home, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. The homeowner decided to look into "radon mitigation experts near me", one of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Derek. Once Derek arrived, he took a closer look and began the radon test. After the radon test started, Derek looked for the best place to install the Radon Mitigation System. After the test was completed, it showed the levels were alarmingly high. To prevent these levels from worsening, Derek suggested securing a Radon Mitigation System on the north wall. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Jackson, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Jackson and his crew started by securing the Radon Mitigation System outside the home. Once the Radon Mitigation System was secured, Jackson and his crew cleaned up their matierals. The homeowner was given peace of mind knowing the basement was secured. If you are worried about the radon levels in your home. Sign up for your FREE estimate today!
Josh M. of Slayton, MN had cracks along his foundation wall, and he wanted to get it repaired as soon as possible. He heard about American Waterworks on the radio, so he decided to give our office a call. Our customer care department set him up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Jared Bruns. Jared went to his home to carefully inspect the foundation wall and come up with a solution. Josh got all of his questions answered about the repairs, so he went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production team began the installation by digging five holes outside of the home beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of each rod, our team tightened and secured a GeoLock Wall Anchor. This wall anchor system will permanently stabilize foundation walls by anchoring the walls to the hard-packed, compact soil. After installation, wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the foundation wall. To complete the project, our team backfilled the holes and replaced the soil, leaving the yard looking neater than when they found it. Josh was very happy with the final product!
A homeowner from Slayton, MN, was doing some work on his basement. After removing wood paneling in a lower room, he uncovered stair-step cracks running down his wall. He was very concerned about his discovery and decided to look into MN foundation repair companies. When he found our website, he was impressed by our previous work and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Lance S, headed out to the home to see what could be done.
Lance got right to work, conducting his inspection of the home. When he was finished, he met with the homeowner to discuss his recommendations. Lance informed them that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt at the top. He assured them that while it was a serious issue, we had a solution. Lance wanted to use our GeoLock wall anchors. He explained that our GeoLock anchors is an innovative wall anchor system that will permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond your foundation. After installation, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their original position. The homeowner liked the sound of having a system that could be adjusted at the house continued to settle, and decided to schedule his project for several weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Victor R, and his team effortlessly installed 10 of our GeoLock anchors throughout the basement of the home. Now, our customer can finish his basement revamp knowing that his foundation worries are in the past!
