Larry, from Odessa, MN, was looking for solutions for his vacation home's basement. The basement was experiencing water intrusion during rainy days, so he decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Shane, headed out to the property.
Following a thorough inspection, Shane recommended that Larry invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing. It is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone" and making it harder to clog.
Ron agreed, and our crew got to work.
Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his crew began implementing our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and can collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, which pushes it through the discharge line and expels it from the home.
After all was said and done, Larry was very glad he decided to use American Waterworks and had his peace of mind restored.
In Odessa, MN, a homeowner had noticed that signs of their foundation walls shifting. Knowing that the issue would persist and lead to wall failure without a long-term solution, the homeowner knew it was time to schedule an estimate with American Waterworks. Since we had already done their basement waterproofing, the homeowner was confident in our team and decided to move forward with us again.
In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Dylan J., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, he took close measurements to determine how much the walls had shifted and noted the areas that needed stabilizing. Dylan recommended installing GeoLocks, our wall anchor system that is designed to permanently stabilize foundation walls by anchoring the pressure to stable soil away from the foundation. Happy with the recommendations, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, one of our crews arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. Then, earth anchors are placed and connected to the interior wall plate using a small steel pole. Once these are connected and tightened, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home. Our crew was able to successfully install 6 GeoLocks!

Larry G. in Heron Lake, MN had two cracked and bowing walls in his basement. He was worried about the pressure it was putting on his foundation and the damage it could cause, so he contacted the foundation repair experts at American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate.
After meeting with one of our Design Specialists, he chose to have wall anchors installed, which is one of our foundation repair products. Our production crew started the installation by drilling small holes through the block foundation and inserting long metal rods. They secured each end of the rod with anchor plates and tightened them as far as they could go, which permanently secured the wall. Wall anchors also provide the possibility for the wall to straighten over time. Larry was pleased with the installation and is glad he chose American Waterworks to permanently repair his foundation!

A Heron Lake, MN, homeowner noticed that the concrete patio outside of his home was showing signs of sinking. Worried about what this could mean, the homeowner decided to begin the search for a MN concrete repair company. When he found our website, he signed up for our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Tony B, headed out to the home to see what could be done.
Once Tony completed his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner. Tony began by informing the homeowner that concrete can experience sinking for a variety of reasons, but nonetheless, American Waterworks could help. Tony wanted to use our PolyLevel injection to address the sinking concrete. He explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking slabs. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion and slowly lift slabs back into place. The homeowner liked the sound of Tony's plan and the work was scheduled for a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan, and his team were able to complete the lift with no issues. Now our customer can enjoy his freshly restored concrete!
