A homeowner in Wabasha, MN, was doing some landscaping in her yard when he noticed a crack running up her foundation. She was concerned because he didn't know if the crack continued below the foundation. He spoke with neighbors about the problem and was directed to American Waterworks. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel, headed out to the home to inspect the problem. Once he completed his inspection, he explained to the homeowner that her foundation was settling, which American Waterworks could help with. He went on to say that a failing foundation that is left unaddressed won't get better over time. Michel wanted to use our Helical Piers to stabilize and lift the foundation. Michel explained that our helical piers are the premier choice to lift the foundation back to its original position. These piers are mechanically advanced into the soil using small construction equipment or hand equipment. As they are installed to appropriate depths and capacities, they prevent any future settlement issues. The homeowner agreed with the proposal, and the foundation repair project was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew installed 3 of our helical piers on the failing side of the home. Now our homeowner can resume her daily life without worrying about her home's foundation!

Denny S. in Kellogg, MN had uneven and sunken steps on his back patio. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his concrete and design a solution. Denny was pleased to learn that our PolyLevel foam could raise his steps back to their original position, so he scheduled to have his steps repaired.
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into Denny’s steps and then injected the polymer foam to fill the void beneath the steps and to raise them. Once the steps had been raised back to their original position, they sealed the cracks with our NexusPro joint sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice finished look. The process only took a couple of hours to complete, and now Denny and his family can enjoy a beautiful, safe back patio for years to come!

Clint M. of Taopi, MN had severe water leakage in his basement and decided to call American Waterworks after seeing our company vehicles around town. Our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to his home for a FREE Estimate. After an in-depth inspection, Clint was comfortable with Shane's proposal so he set up an installation date.
Our Foreman, Rene Hernandez, and his production crew began the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter of Clint's basement forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our Basement to Beautiful Wall Panels around the wall perimeter, which serves as a thick, clean, and protective blanket for basement walls. Rene and his crew replaced the concrete, leaving the basement cleaner than how they found it. Clint had a great experience with Shane, Rene and his crew!
Bill B. in Rudd, IA noticed that the north side of his basement was taking on water during heavy rains. Bill had tried numerous quick fixes, but nothing he tried was a permanent solution. He decided to call the waterproofing experts at American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, to his home to inspect his basement and provide him with the best long-term solution. Bill was pleased with Mac’s thorough plan, so he scheduled the installation of our waterproofing system.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system. They removed a section of the concrete floor around the perimeter and created a drainage trench. The WaterGuard is then placed within the trench and filled back with rock to fill the gaps. This keeps the drainage system out of the “mud zone”, where drains can clog. Then, they installed a SuperSump sump pump system which is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The water now properly flows through the drainage system and is then discharged from the home through the sump pump. Bill is now enjoying a dry, healthier basement!
