Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

One of our Design Specialists, Shane, went to the property, did a complete evaluation, and gave Thomas his recommendations. Thomas answered all his questions and gave our team the go-ahead to get started.

Our Foreman, Kiko, and his production crew started in on three main goals. First, the installation of our WaterGuard System began with breaking out the concrete floor perimeter and forming a trench. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. Second, they installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience.

Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home. The battery keeps the pumps draining any excess water build-up. To complete the WaterGuard project, Kiko and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. 

The team then proceeded to install the CleanSpace Wall System around the perimeter of the basement. This prevents humidity from invading the walls and gives the basement a clean and bright appearance, with a 25-year warranty. Our CleanSpace Wall System is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners, so it never falls.

It's designed to keep your sump pump running efficiently and effectively. The UltraSump® system can pump out an excess of 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery, which is enough water to fill a small swimming pool! 

Laurel Mezner of Baxter, MN had water seepage problems in her basement so she called American Waterworks and our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to her home for a FREE Estimate. After inspecting the issue and coming up with a solution, Laurel went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Mason Chamberlin, and his production crew broke out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replaced it with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which is our best sump pump we have and it provides three levels of protection. Laurel no longer has any leakage problems and now has a restored peace of mind! 

Karen M. in Marshall, MN was tired of dealing with her basement flooding after heavy rains and snow melt. She contacted American Waterworks after doing some online research and spending some time on our website. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew started the project by breaking out the entire concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is designed to prevent water clogs and collect water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrer around the entire basement wall perimeter, which is designed to prevent moisture and mold, cover any holes or divots in the foundation, and gives the basement a clean appearance. Lastly, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which has three layers of water protection, solves all three water problems in one unit, and comes with a battery backup in case of power failure. To complete the work, our team filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. The homeowners were very satisfied with the work and post-installation walkthrough!
