Tiffany S. in Winona, MN saw that water had started seeping into her basement through her walls and windows. The water that was pooling in her basement was creating a musty smell throughout the home and was starting to cause damage to her basement. While researching professional waterproofing contractors, she came across American Waterworks. She called us and set up a time for our Design Specialist, Rick Weber, to come onsite and give her a free estimate. Rick developed a thorough plan to fully waterproof her basement.

Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump, 5 EverLast basement windows, our CleanSpace wall system, and a full perimeter of rim joist spray foam insulation. The combination of these waterproofing products created a dry, clean and livable space for Tiffany. Our Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system to drain the water to the TripleSafe sump pump. Then, they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to protect the walls from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they sprayed the rim joists with our spray foam insulation to protect from water seeping in and to make it an energy efficient space. The installation only took a couple of days, but our waterproofing system is guaranteed for a lifetime, so Tiffany will benefit from her waterproofing system for many years to come.

A customer from Winona, MN got in contact with us when they began to notice unwanted water entering their basement. They didn't want the water to further damage the space, so they called into our office to see what could be done. They used their FREE estimate to have one of our Design Specialists, Mac, out to their property to assess the situation. Once he completed his thorough inspection, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help. Mac recommended the use of our WaterGuard french drainage system. He explained that this system inconspicuously sits below the concrete of the floor, catching any water entering the space and filtering it out to the appropriate disposal site, which Mac recommended to be our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical water disposal situation. The customer agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Production crew, led by Foreman, Kiko, installed 40ft of WaterGuard throughout the basement, along with 1 SuperSump pump. Once the job was completed, our customer was happy to know that their basement waterproofing issues were in the past! 

Bethany, a homeowner in Stockton, MN, decided to call American Waterworks after noticing her basement was wet and musty; water was coming in in multiple places.

She claimed her FREE estimate, which entitled her to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Rick, headed to the property and began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the house and propose a proper solution. Upon inspection, Rick discussed solutions with Bethany. Along with waterproofing the basement, he found that she also should consider investing in our SmartJack system to stabilize the floors permanently. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. This system is also unique because it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel, so rusting isn't a worry. This means the SmartJack system can be tightened for years to come. She agreed and our team scheduled a time to get to work.

Foreman Cole and his crew headed out to the property and began implementing solutions. They started with our WaterGuard System, a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The crew then broke out concrete to make a feed line. From there, our crew connected the existing sump pump to the feedline. Our crew filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Second, by using 13, 5-7' SmartJacks, 32 Joist Assist Brackets, and 60ft worth of  Supplemental Beam in the basement, the team permanently stabilized the floors. This solution also assists in waterproofing the home as it addresses mold and humidity issues while repairing your structural issue.
