We recommended that she have our full perimeter WaterGuard system installed to ensure that her basement would be permanently waterproofed. Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and connected it to her existing sump pump. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the water is expelled from the home. Now Elinor wil be able to enjoy a dry basement for many years to come. A homeowner in La Crescent, MN, discovered water damage around their basement. Worried there was further damage, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. The homeowner went to a local Facebook group and asked for any recommendations. Several of them recommended working with us, American Waterworks, so they called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Dustin, one of our Design Specialists. Dustin arrived at the home and started his thorough inspection of the basement. Following his inspection, Dustin determined the basement needed to be fully waterproofed and the sump pump replaced. Dustin proposed his recommendations to the homeowner and they agreed. After receiving approval from the homeowner, they passed the plans to the office for finalization. Once finalized, they were sent to our Field Supervisor, Rene, and his crew to begin the project. Rene and his crew arrived at the home and began the installation. First, the crew installed WaterGuard in the western corner of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. After the SuperSump+ was secured, the crew cleaned up the materials and left the home. Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew began the waterproofing project by first removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and installing our WaterGuard drainage system. Then, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, which is backed by three levels of protection. Any water is now guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there, is expelled from the home. Lastly, our SaniDry dehumidifier was put in place to take care of any humidity. Kay was happy with the project and glad her basement is now a dry, clean space.

Next, they hung our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to further protect the space from moisture and mold. Then, they filled back the gaps in the floor with rock before replacing the concrete and cleaning up their work area. Kelly was pleased with the results and glad she made the investment to protect her home.
