A homeowner in Baldwin, WI, noticed their sump pump was leaking significantly. Worried their home was at risk, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution to their issue. Knowing they could not complete the repair themselves, the homeowner began looking into "leaky basement repair near Baldwin, WI". One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our five-star ratings and reviews, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate on our website. Next, the homeowner awaited the arrival of our Design Specialist, Dustin, to take a closer look at the struggling sump. After taking a closer look, Dustin discovered the sump needed to be replaced. Dustin shared his findings with the homeowner but also provided them with a detailed solution. The homeowner knew this was the best plan of action, so they agreed with Dustin's recommendations. Next, Dustin passed the proposal on to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Once the project details were finalized, it was scheduled with our Foreman, Lane, and his crew to begin. The following month, Lane and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Lane and his crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, Lane and his crew shifted their focus to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe sump pump. Finally, the crew attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was no longer at risk of water intrusion. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowners peace of mind.
Kelle, a homeowner in Baldwin, WI was concerned because her basement had flooded a few times, and she wanted to prevent it from happening again. She contacted us for a FREE estimate to understand our possible solutions. Our Service Technician, Rasean, traveled to her home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to recommend a plan to transform the basement into a healthy, clean space.
With the decision made to install a discharge line in the basement, Foreman Lane and his team went out to the property and got to work. The goal was to direct water away from the foundation of the home so that it would not leak back into the basement. By adding a 30 foot discharge line from the south end of the home into the yard, water gets properly relocated. The team also implemented our LawnScape Outlet, which is a pipe buried from the downspout that lets water outside onto the surface of the lawn while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning, minimizing maintenance for your home. Furthermore, American Waterworks can help prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. We installed the patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation if the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. At the end of the project, Kelle was grateful for the work and glad her peace of mind was restored!
There's no greater solution to a wet basement than a WaterGuard basement waterproofing system combined with a CleanSpace vapor barrier encapsulation system as you will see in this before and after from another satisfied customer in Kenyon, MN.
One of the key ingredients in this project was the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable, 20mil plastic sheet material designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air and pests from getting in through their foundation. The encapsulation system will now guide water leaking in through the foundation walls and redirect it to their Waterguard perimeter floor drainage system and ultimately drain into the SuperSump sump pump.
Daniel Y. of Hammond, WI had his windows blocked and wanted to provide more lighting in his basement with heavy-duty windows. Once he found out American Waterworks installs windows, he gave us a call for a Free Estimate to check out the property. We sent out our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson, to inspect the basement to determine which window would work best. After all of Daniel's questions were answered and told Chad he wanted three windows, he went ahead with the project and scheduled the installation date.
Our foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew began the installation by digging the wall pavement out in three spots. They measured all of the edges and sides to make sure that our EverLast Basement Windows would fit properly. Then, they trimmed off any leftover rigid edges to make the finishing touch nice and smooth. Our EverLast Basement Windows are double-paned, energy-efficient, and provide an elegant look to a refurbished basement! Daniel was very satisfied with the outcome and is looking forward to having American Waterworks be his go-to for future projects!
Kathy W. of River Falls, WI had water leaking from her windows into her basement, and she wanted to get it fixed up before she began the moving stage. A realtor referred American Waterworks to her for our basement waterproofing repair products. She called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac Cole. Mac went to her home, inspected her basement and windows, and drew out a detailed plan that Kathy could understand. She was confident in Mac's proposal, so she went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the process by cutting out the pre-existing window and replacing it with our EverLast Basement Window. These special windows are energy-efficient, vinyl-framed, and double-paneled and are made to replace outdated wood-framed windows. Next, our crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to prevent water clogs, serve as an underground drain, and collect water seepage from basement walls. Lastly, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold or humidity build-up and cover any holes or divots in the wall. To complete the project, Juan and his crew covered the open gaps with rock, flattened them out, and replaced the concrete. Kathy was and still is a satisfied customer!
