A new homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, went down to her basement after a particularly hard rain and was shocked to notice that she had standing water in several parts of her basement. Frazzled by her discovery, she quickly took to the internet to search for Minneapolis basement waterproofing. After a few hours of combing through different websites, she landed on our page. She was thoroughly impressed by our basement waterproofing before and after images and decided to sign up for our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Derek V, headed out to the home. After conducting his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss his findings. Derek wanted to use several of our products to complement each other and most importantly, to keep water off the basement floor. First, Derek recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier be installed on the leaky walls. Derek explained that our CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that gets applied directly to unfinished basement walls, and works to direct water entering through the wall, downward, and into a perimeter drain, which, in this case, Derek wanted to be our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor slab but on top of the foundation footing, keeping it out of the "mud zone" where similar drains tend to clog. Because the CleanSpace runs into the WaterGuard, it collects water entering from the wall, and small porous cracks or holes in the floor, giving the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. Derek noticed the lack of drainage from the basement itself and urged the homeowner to add one because of the large amount of water entering the space. Derek recommended our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical solution. This sump is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. Derek went on to say that the SuperSump can be installed with the optional UltraSump battery backup, which is designed to provide reliable, high-volume pumping capability when the electrical grid goes down. After Derek and the homeowner discussed options, she was thrilled to know that our solution would keep her basement dry and healthy for years to come and decided to schedule the installation for several weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Kiko P, led his team through the installation with a breeze. When they finished, they installed 14ft of WaterGuard, 1 SuperSump Sump Pump, 1 UltraSump battery backup, and 24 ft of CleanSpace throughout the basement. Now, our customer can enjoy her largest investment knowing that it is properly protected from unwanted water!

A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner had been dealing with a leaky basement for years. Each time it rained, the homeowner fell victim to unwanted water finding its way into her space. The homeowner quickly found American Waterworks and signed up for her FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dustin A, was headed out to the home. When Ryan finished his estimate appointment, he met with the homeowner. He began by commending the homeowner for taking action on her space. Dustin explained that waterproofing issues don't get better with time but rather with diligent homeowners who are committed to the health and value of their homes. He went on to say that he had the perfect system to deal with the water in the basement. First, Dustin recommended our CleanSpace system be installed directly to the walls of the basement. He explained that this 100% waterproof tarp-like material works to catch water entering through holes and cracks in the wall, directing it downward to a perimeter drain. Furthermore, CleanSpace has an anti-microbial protection, UltraFresh, built right in. As for the perimeter drain, Dustin recommended our WaterGuard drainage system. This unique French drain system gets installed below the basement floor atop the footing of the foundation to keep it clear of the 'mud zone' where similar systems tend to clog. Dustin elaborated, saying that this system works to give water entering through the floor a channel to flow freely to the sump pump that had been previously placed in the space. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and worked with Dustin to find the correct date for installation.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Juan P, and his crew arrived at the home. Once the project had concluded, Juan and his team installed 77 sqft of both WaterGuard and CleanSpace within the basement. Now, our customer can lay her water intrusion nightmare to rest!

Ashley N. of Saint Louis Park, MN had water leaking from her pre-existing sump pump and from her basement walls, making her feel nervous about the water moisture and humidity in her home. She called our office and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Jared Bruns. Jared went to her home, inspected the problem, and came up with a solution. Ashley was comfortable with Jared's proposal, so they went ahead and got an installation date scheduled.
Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replacing it with our SuperSump Plus M53, which is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time, especially during harsh weather conditions. Next, our crew broke out half the wall perimeter and broke out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the work, our team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner was dealing with a leaky basement. Each time it rained, it seemed as though water would pool on the floor and in the corners of the basement. In the interest of protecting his home, he decided to look for Minneapolis basement waterproofing and eventually found our website. He decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Mac C, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
Mac got right to work inspecting the basement to see what we could do. When he concluded, Mac met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Mac wanted to use our WaterGuard. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. It works to collect water entering from holes or cracks in the basement floor, giving it a channel to the appropriate disposal site, a pre-placed sump pump. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. The homeowner liked the sound of the work and decided to schedule the work for some time later.
On the day of the project, Lane S, our Foreman, led his team through a flawless installation. Now, our customer can enjoy her home knowing that that her water intrusion issue has been handled!
