A homeowner in Crystal Springs, ND, grew concerned after noticing damp spots throughout their basement. Worried about the long-term damage, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. The homeowner looked into "wet basement repair near me" and one of the first companies to catch their attention was us, American Waterworks. After taking a closer look at our impressive services, the homeowner knew we were the best company for the job. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ian. Following his arrival, Ian began the thorough investigation of the property. During his inspection, Ian found several areas where the water was sneaking into the home. To stop the water from continuing to enter the home, Ian recommended installing several waterproofing products. After considering all their options, the homeowner knew this was best for their home. After he received the homeowner's approval, Ian sent the plans to our Logistics team. Once the plans were approved by our Logistics team, they scheduled the project with our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew traveled to Crystal Springs and began the waterproofing installation. First, Roel and his crew installed the WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Next, the crew shifted their focus to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. Finally, the crew went outside and attached an IceGuard to the outside discharge discharge line. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by Roel and his crew. American Waterworks is happy to provide their customers peace of mind knowing their basement is dry and secure.
John, a homeowner in Cleveland, ND needed a solution for his basement water issues.
He needed assistance accurately diagnosing the cause of water intrusion, musty odors, and mildew in the basement and wanted a reliable waterproofing system to eliminate these problems and create lasting peace of mind. He researched and decided to call us for a FREE estimate to understand our possible solutions. Our Foreman traveled to his home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to recommend a plan to transform the basement into a healthy, clean space.
First, the team did a half-wall demo in the northeast corner of the basement to more effectively install our WaterGuard solution. They then began breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System along the basement's North, East, and South walls where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. The crew then added CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold from affecting the rest of the foundation. There was also a small room under a stoop that the team fully wrapped with CleanSpace in order to protect the area best. Next, to direct water away from the home's foundation so that it would not leak back into the basement, the team added a 30-foot discharge line from the North end of the basement near the stoop, through the TripleSafe Sump Pump out into the yard. The team also implemented our LawnScape Outlet, which is a pipe buried from the downspout that lets water outside onto the surface of the lawn while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning, minimizing maintenance for your home. Furthermore, American Waterworks can help prevent wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. We installed the patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation if the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that his basement had been transformed, and he no longer had to worry about water intrusion!
Madella, a homeowner in Oakes, ND, was having significant issues in her basement space; water was entering the basement at the cove joint, where the floor and wall meet.
Specifically, with musty smells, mold, and moisture issues, Madella decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Richie, headed to the property for an inspection, and once Madella and Richie chatted, a plan was made to implement solutions.
Our Foreman, Arturo, and his crew began the project by clearing debris and readying the spaces for installation. Richie had advised Madella to invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. Next, the team installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier installed right onto the problem walls and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in.

A Luverne, MN, homeowner was facing an issue. A year ago, she had purchased a home that was now taking on significant water. The homeowner was stumped, as the home came with not 1, but 2 sum pumps already placed. Disgruntled, she decided to search for a company to service her sump pump system. After finding our website, she decided to sign up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Dylan W, headed out to the home.
When Dylan arrived, he got right to work conducting his estimate inspection. When he completed it, he met with the homeowner to discuss his recommendations. First, Dylan wanted to rip out the two old sump pumps and install 2 of our SuperSump sump pumps. For an effective and more economical solution, consider our SuperSump sump pump. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The SuperSump® can be installed with an optional UltraSump® Battery Backup Sump Pump, which can pump out 11,500 gallons or more on a single charge! The homeowner liked the sound of upgraded systems, so she scheduled her job for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, Francisco E, our Foreman, led his team through the installation. When they had finished, our customer had two properly functioning systems that were up to the challenge of keeping her basement dry!
A homeowner from Luverne, MN, was down in her basement one day when she noticed water pooling in the far corner of the space. She was worried about what this could mean for her home, so she decided to search the internet for wet basement repairs near Luverne, MN. When our website popped up, she signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Eric H, headed out to the home.
Eric got right to work inspecting the basement. When he concluded, he informed the homeowner that her solution could be fixed with the appropriate sump pump. He recommended the installation of our TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is the most reliable pump in our lineup, providing three levels of protection for your basement and peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. The homeowner liked the sound of Eric's plan and decided to schedule the work for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Gabriel R, led his team through the installation and successfully placed 1 TripleSafe in the basement of our customer's basement. Now, our customer can breathe easy knowing her water intrusion issue has been solved!
