A homeowner in Cakota, MN, noticed their sump pump was beginning to slow down. Knowing this could lead to larger issues, the homeowner wanted to have the problem resolved. Overwhelmed by all of the sump pump options, the homeowner sought a professional's opinion. During their search, the homeowner came across our website and found that offer a variety of sump pumps. The homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan, to the home. Once Ryan arrived at the home, he began by inspecting the entire basement. Following his evaluation, Ryan confirmed the homeowner's suspicions, the sump pump was on its last leg. Ryan suggested a new sump pump be installed and a new feed line be dug in the basement. The homeowner agreed and the production preparations began. Our Foreman, Francisco and his crew were assigned to complete the project. First, the crew began by taking out the old sump pump. Once the old sump pump was removed, the crew could dig a feedline from the center of the basement to where the new sump pump will be placed. Next, the crew installed the SuperSump + and attached the IceGuard on the outside discharge lines. The crew completed the projects without any issues. The homeowners were grateful for the excellent job completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to assist another customer with their sump pump issues.

A Sleepy Eye, MN, homeowner was struggling with a damp basement after heavy rainfall. Not wanting the issue to worsen, he decided to begin the search for a basement waterproofing company in Minnesota. Once he found our website, he decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan W, headed out to the home.
After Dylan arrived, he got right to work assessing the basement and trying to find the source of the leaking. Once Dylan completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Dylan explained that the water was entering the home through cracks in the floor, and therefore, he wanted to address the situation with several of our products: WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump, and our AprilAire dehumidifier. Dylan elaborated, explaining that these products would work closely together to keep the basement dry. Any water entering the basement through the floor would immediately be caught by the WaterGuard, an award-winning below-floor drain that lays on top of the footing of the foundation to catch unwanted water, directing it to the appropriate disposal site, which would be the TripleSafe. Our TripleSafe is our most reliable sump pump, boasting three levels of protection for your basement. The TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. Finally, Dylan said that even basements with effective waterproofing solutions can develop moisture problems. For this reason, he recommended the use of our AprilAire E100 dehumidifier. This powerful machine creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. The homeowner liked the sound of the approach and scheduled the job to be completed a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Lane, and his team ended up installing 136 ft of our WaterGuard around the perimeter of the space, along with 1 TripleSafe sump pump, and 1 AprilAire E100. Now our customer can enjoy his basement without worrying about water intrusion!
Jamie S. in Mountain Lake, MN had water leaking into her basement and her old sump pump was not able to keep up with the amount of water coming in. While looking for a local waterproofing company, she came across American Waterworks’ website and decided to contact us for a FREE estimate.
We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to her home to inspect her basement and to develop a solution for her. Shane recommended that we install our drainage system under the concrete floor and a new sump pump to transform her basement into a permanently dry space. She agreed, and she liked Shane’s proposal, so she scheduled the installation.
Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the two walls that had water seeping in. Then, they installed the SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement. The drainage system properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the water is pumped through the discharge line to the outside of the home. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Jamie feels confident that she chose the right waterproofing solution to protect her home for the long-term.

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production crew started the installation by breaking out the floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which serves as an underground drain, prevents mud clogs, and catches water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our Foamax Wall Panels around the wall perimeter, which is a special foam insulation that prevents water from seeping into the basement, saves money on energy costs, and gives the basement a neat and bright appearance.
