A homeowner from Barnesville, MN, was dealing with a deteriorating driveway. His driveway had been sinking over the years and had begun cracking as a result. The homeowner no longer wanted to deal with the eyesore and decided to look into what options might be out there. One day, he found himself at the Red River Valley Home + Garden Show in Fargo, ND. While perusing the booths, he ended up at the American Waterworks booth and spoke to our Design Specialist, Kole, about his concrete issue. He and Kole set up a time for Kole to come out to his home to see the concrete.
Once the day arrived, Kole got right to work completing his inspection. When he finished, he explained to the homeowner that concrete can sink for a variety of reasons but that we could help fix the issue with the help of our PolyLevel method. He explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left over by soil erosion and slowly lifts sunken concrete back to it's desired location. Kole went on to say that our team recommends the application of NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets applied to the cracks and joints of the newly lifted concrete and works to protect the vulnerable soil below by preventing water from getting between the slabs. The homeowner liked the sound of Kole's plan and scheduled the job for the Spring.
When the snow melted and warm weather returned, our Foreman, CJ, and his team were able to complete the lift and level with no issues. Now our homeowner can look at his driveway fondly, knowing the cracks have been sealed.
