A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN was not pleased with how his driveway had been looking. Not only were there large cracks in multiple areas of the concrete, but an unevenness between his garage and driveway. Rather than leave it to sit and continue to worsen, he decided to find a business that could help fix the problem. He noticed that American Waterworks, a name he was familiar with, offered a FREE no obligation estimate service for homeowners wanting to walk through a plan before beginning the repairs. The homeowner scheduled his appointment and was greeted weeks later by one of our expert Design Specialists, Mike Dexter. Mike suggested to him that to achieve the desired results, PolyLevel, a high-density polyurethane foam to lift the surface, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant to fill in extra spaces and cracks, would be the best course of action. The homeowner also expressed that he wanted to add extra protection to extend the lifespan of the driveway after the repairs were done. Mike explained that SealantPro would help permanently protect it from water, dirt, and other contaminants in a single coat. The homeowner agreed to the plans and our Foreman, Ryan Trogstad, along with his crew, arrived at the home to carry out the installations. Ted A. of Minneapolis, MN had cracked and uneven concrete around his home and he wanted it repaired to fit his needs. He did some research and looked at our concrete repair projects. After seeing we give FREE Estimates, our Design Specialist, Ben Fort, went to his home to inspect the concrete and come up with a solution. Ted got all his questions answered, so he went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Steven Kundert, injected 71 pounds of our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to raise and stabilize the surface. Our PolyLevel is a special kind of foam that cures quickly and prevents soil corrosion. Next, Steven applied 48 feet of our NexusPro, which is a sealant that gets applied over the cracks to provide flexibility, stand up to harsh weather, and prevent further cracking. Ted was thrilled with the work and can no longer see concrete cracks from across the street!
A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed that his back porch had begun sinking, causing the slabs to lean on one side. Worried it would be a trip hazard and that it would get worse, the homeowner decided to address the issue immediately and began looking for concrete lifting in the area. The homeowner found our website and contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Romeo V., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the porch. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes for settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground, underneath the slabs, and washes away supporting soils. As this continues, this leads to voids and gaps in the soil causing the slabs to sink. For this reason, Romeo recommended PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to Romeo's recommendations.
In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the settling slabs by first drilling small into them and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew then seals the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew used NexusPro to seal the joints. After they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
