Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Following his in-depth inspection, Ian discovered that the crawl space was unencapsulating, leading to unwanted water in the space which creates wood rot, mold, and mildew. Before the crew's arrival, the homeowners were asked to clear any debris from the crawl space and move the washer. Once the crew arrived, they ensured that the crawl space was cleared and leveled before repairs could start. First, the crew installed CleanSpace on the west, south, and east crawl space floors. As detailed in the plans, the crew was allowed to wrap up the wall as needed with CleanSpace. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew moved to apply Sprayfoam along the exterior facing joist pockets. Sprayfoam was applied on a whole wall in the seat crawlspace. Lastly, Ian informed the homeowner that even spaces with the most comprehensive waterproofing systems can still develop moisture and mold problems and can even feel damp. This is due to concrete walls and floors constantly absorbing moisture from the soil, releasing it into the air of the basement. Ian's final recommendation is that our AprilAire dehumidifier creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. The homeowner was thankful that Ian was forthcoming about all of the issues in the space and decided to address them all.
