Greg H. in West Concord, MN noticed that his garage wall was pulling away from his home and it had created about a half inch gap between his house and the garage. He started looking into foundation repair options and he came across the American Waterworks website. He contacted us for a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide him with a solution. We recommended installing PowerBraces along the shifting foundation to halt any further movement and start to move the foundation back into place. Greg felt that our plan was the most efficient, durable, and cost-effective option, so he chose to move forward with the installation.
Our production team started the installation by securing brackets into the garage floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The installation took a day to complete, but now Greg’s foundation is permanently restored, and he no longer is concerned about the stability of his garage.

Shortly after his appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Mac, headed out to the property. Once he completed his walkthrough, he could make recommendations as to how we could help. Mac wanted to use our GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue. He explained that this innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. He went on to say that the anchors can be tightened over time. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.

A Blooming Prairie, MN, homeowner had been keeping an eye on his basement walls for some time now. Over the years, the homeowner had noticed several cracks in the home's foundation, and as time progressed, the cracks continued to worsen, raising his concern for his home. The homeowner had no idea who handled foundation repair MN, but decided to confide in some of his friends and family about his concerns. On the recommendation of one of his friends, he decided to call American Waterworks and schedule his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Ryan M, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
When Ryan arrived, he wasted no time heading down to the basement to see what could be done. When he finished his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Ryan informed the homeowner that foundation walls are designed to withstand pressure from above, not the sides. So when the amount of pressure from the side becomes more than the wall can bear, homeowners will see cracking, bowing, tilting in at the top, or sliding in at the bottom. For this reason, Ryan recommended our C-Channel anchor foundation repair system. Ryan explained that these anchors counteract the pressure from the side by anchoring the failing wall to the undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. Channel Anchors are versatile, effective systems that can stabilize walls that are bowing, tipping, pushing in at the bottom, tilting in at the top, or showing similar signs of failure. They are installed with minimal disturbance to your lawn and landscaping, often in a day's time or less. The homeowner liked the sound of Ryan's plan and signed on the spot.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Francisco E, led his team through the successful installation of 17 C-Channel anchors throughout the basement. Now our customer is thrilled to know that his foundation issues are in the past!
