Andrea from Climax, MN, contacted us when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow inward, showing signs of failing. Andrea was afraid that if left unresolved, she would risk compromising the home's structural integrity. She called American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property.
Ian recommended that Andrea invest in our PowerBrace Wall System and GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue.
Once approved, our Foreman and his crew got to work. First, 12 GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed; this innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. Our Foreman explained to Andrea that the anchors can be tightened over time. Then, the team got to work strategically placing PowerBraces around the basement, inserting 12 PowerBraces to stabilize the wall further. These were also installed with WaterGuard brackets for futureproofing. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the home's support beams and the concrete on which the house lies.
Andrea's peace of mind was restored, and she was glad she trusted our team to ensure that her basement walls were no longer an issue.
Andrew in Winthrop, MN had water leaking through his block foundation where the wall meets the floor. He had a working sump pump already in place, but without a drainage system the water had no way to reach the pump. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to develop a solution for Andrew. Our Specialist recommend having our WaterGuard drainage system installed and connected to the sump pump.
Andrew agreed with this solution, so our production crew started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard. Then, they laid the WaterGuard drainage system and filled back the gaps with rock. They connected the drainage system into the existing sump pump and then replaced the concrete. This process only took a day to complete, and now Andrew is enjoying a dry, healthier basement.

Debra and Kathy of Ulen, MN had water leaking into their basement, making them feel nervous about the value of their home. They did some research online and came across our American Waterworks website and our basement waterproofing products. They called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to their home to inspect their problem and come up with a solution. Debra and Kathy were confident in Rick's proposal, so they moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Tremaine Jackson and his team began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. Next, our crew applied 77 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System and secured it around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents mold and humidity from invading the basement and acts as an extra wall protectant. Then, Tremaine and his crew installed 77 feet of our WaterGuard System into the formed trench. Our WaterGuard collects water seepage from basement walls and acts as an underground drain that leads to outside. Lastly, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

A homeowner in Ullen, MN, was cleaning their basement and noticed a musty odor throughout the basement. After taking a closer look, the homeowner discovered leaking water throughout their basement. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner began looking into "waterproofing services near me," and one of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our work, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, James. The following week, James arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the basement. During his inspection, James confirmed that several areas were suffering from water damage. To prevent this issue from worsening, James recommended waterproofing the entire basement. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed. Next, James and the homeowner worked together to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Franklin and his team began by securing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to attaching CleanSpace to the unfinished basement wall. Finally, the crew completed the project by installing 8 PowerBraces along the struggling walls. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. American Waterworks is happy to provide its homeowners peace of mind knowing their basement is secure from water intrusion.
Lori N. of Stewart, MN had bowing walls on the side of her garage, causing her landscaping to be uneven. She called American Waterworks to schedule a Free Estimate. We sent out our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, to her home to inspect the issue and come up with a solution. After a detailed inspection, Lori was comfortable with Shane’s proposal so she set up an installation date.
Our foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew began the installation by digging six holes around the back and side of the garage and six holes in the garage concrete floor, parallel to the holes outside. They installed a long, metal rod in each hole and tightened our GeoLock Wall Anchors on each end. In this situation, our GeoLock Wall Anchor System permanently stabilized the foundation wall by anchoring them to the soil beneath the garage concrete. After installation and over time, homeowners can tighten them to continue keeping their wall at normal position. Next, our guys capped the anchors in the garage with a concrete coating and replaced the soil outside. Lori was happy with the outcome and was glad she went with American Waterworks to solve her home needs!
