There's no greater solution to a wet basement than a WaterGuard basement waterproofing system combined with a CleanSpace vapor barrier encapsulation system as you will see in this before and after from another satisfied customer in Kenyon, MN.
One of the key ingredients in this project was the CleanSpace® vapor barrier, a super-durable, 20mil plastic sheet material designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air and pests from getting in through their foundation. The encapsulation system will now guide water leaking in through the foundation walls and redirect it to their Waterguard perimeter floor drainage system and ultimately drain into the SuperSump sump pump.
Lee C. in Kenyon, MN contacted American Waterworks because he noticed the beams in his basement were sagging, he had cracks in the drywall, sticking doors, and unlevel floors. All of these are symptoms of a failing foundation and only get worse over time. Lee met with one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, who recommended he have our structural support jacks and supplemental support beams installed to stop any further deterioration.
Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew got to work and installed 10 SmartJacks and supplemental beams throughout the basement to straighten and strengthen the sagging floors. Because of its design, the SmartJack can be adjusted over time to provide additional straightening and leveling action if necessary. Lee’s peace of mind has been restored, knowing he chose a permanent solution to restore the stability of his home.

Suzanne P. in Clarks Grove, MN was struggling with her sunken driveway. It had become a challenge for her to get in and out of the garage with her wheelchair because of the large bump. She stopped by the American Waterworks booth at a local home show and was pleased to learn about our concrete repair solutions. Our Design Specialist, Pete Wangen, went to her home to inspect her concrete, develop the right solution for her situation and provide her with a FREE estimate. She enjoyed working with Pete and was eager to have her concrete raised so, she scheduled to have our crew come out as soon as possible.
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete slabs where the driveway needed to be raised. Then, they injected a polymer foam called PolyLevel, until it was raised to be even with the garage floor. Lastly, they filled the holes with concrete and sealed the cracks in the driveway with our NexusPro sealant. The sealant helps to protect the concrete and also gives it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and Suzanne was amazed with the finished product! She was impressed with how polite our crew was and how quickly they completed the project. She is very happy she chose American Waterworks to repair her concrete!

A homeowner from Clarks Grove, MN, had been keeping an eye on his bowing wall for some time now. Over the years, he had noticed it worsening and was now ready to take action. He had no idea who handled foundation repair in Minnesota but decided to hunt down a contractor. He took to the internet in search of structural foundation repair near Clarks Grove, MN, and eventually found our website. He was impressed by our positive reviews and extensive work in the foundation repair industry. He decided to schedule his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, one of our Design Specialists, Ryan K, was heading out to the home.
Ryan got right to work evaluating the space. Once he finished, he was ready to make his recommendations. Ryan began by explaining that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When the side pressure on your wall exceeds its ability to withstand the force, it begins to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt inward at the top. Ryan went on to say that while full replacement of the failing wall was a possibility, it was also expensive, invasive, and time-consuming, but if the soil conditions didn't change, the same problem would occur over time. For this reason, Ryan recommended our GeoLock anchors. Wall anchors counteract soil pressure by anchoring the wall to the stable, undisturbed soil outside of your home. After installation, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their original position. The homeowner liked Ryan's plan and scheduled the job on the spot.
When the project date rolled around, our Foreman, Jorge M, and his team were able to effortlessly install 13 of our GeoLock anchors around the basement of the home. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his foundation worries are in the past!

Daniel Y. of Hammond, WI had his windows blocked and wanted to provide more lighting in his basement with heavy-duty windows. Once he found out American Waterworks installs windows, he gave us a call for a Free Estimate to check out the property. We sent out our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson, to inspect the basement to determine which window would work best. After all of Daniel's questions were answered and told Chad he wanted three windows, he went ahead with the project and scheduled the installation date.
Our foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew began the installation by digging the wall pavement out in three spots. They measured all of the edges and sides to make sure that our EverLast Basement Windows would fit properly. Then, they trimmed off any leftover rigid edges to make the finishing touch nice and smooth. Our EverLast Basement Windows are double-paned, energy-efficient, and provide an elegant look to a refurbished basement! Daniel was very satisfied with the outcome and is looking forward to having American Waterworks be his go-to for future projects!
