A customer from Hastings, MN, got in contact with us when she began to their basement was becoming drafty and cool, even in the winter months. Our customer was concerned that her home was steadily becoming energy inefficient. When she called in, we set her up with our FREE estimate, which entitled her to a thorough inspection into the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist headed out to the property to take a deeper look at the problem. When he completed his walkthrough, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help remedy the issue. He explained to our customer that the water intrusion and draft could be attributed to her basement windows, as they were older and outdated. He recommended she invest in our EverLast window and SunHouse. He explained that these double-paned windows would stop water intrusion at the source. The SunHouse window well cover brings natural light in and keeps cold winter winds from blowing against the panels. The customer agreed with our recommendations and work began shortly after.
Our construction crew, led by Foreman Tremaine, ended up installing 3 of our EverLast window wells and SunHouse window well covers throughout the basement of the home. Once work was completed, the homeowner was happy to know that her drafty and energy-inefficient worries were in the past!
A homeowner in Hastings, MN, noticed sections of their driveway were higher than others. Additionally, they found various cracks spread throughout the concrete. Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew were assigned to this case and received the recommended plan of action. The crew began by injecting the PolyLevel underneath the entire driveway and the sidewalk leading to the front door and garage door of the home. Once the PolyLevel installation was complete, the crew moved their attention to the joints and cracks throughout the concrete slab. The crew filled all the cracks with the NexusPro Crack Repair. Then, they removed all the previous joints and replaced them with the NexusPro Joint Sealant. After all the cracks and joints were properly filled, the crew could clean up their tools and move on to their next job. The homeowners were impressed with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to help another customer avoid replacing all of their concrete.
A homeowner in Hudson, WI contacted us after deciding to cleanup his crawlspace where his HVAC system was housed. The crawlspace is now more energy efficient and free of any debris, allergens, and most importantly, moisture.
Jon and Amy H. of Hudson, WI had water coming into their crawl space, causing them to worry about water damage and other crawl space problems. They went online and saw that we provide free estimates, so they called our office line and scheduled one with our Design Specialist, Chuck Haldeman. Chuck went to their home, crawled into their crawl space, and drew up some possible solutions for a few hours. After the inspection, Jon, Amy, and Chuck sat down and discussed which solution would work best. They decided on one of the solutions, signed Chuck's contract, and went ahead with the installation.
Our Foreman, Jeromy Anderson, and his production team began the installation by taking everything out of the crawl space and ensuring the space was clear to begin the work. Next, our team installed our SuperSump Plus M53 Sump Pump in the crawl space, which is made to keep spaces dry and healthy for extended periods of time, especially in times of heavy water intrusion. Next, Jeromy and his crew installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation Moisture Barrier throughout the entire crawl space.
