After purchasing their Forest City, IA home, Matt & Jenni decided to contact American Waterworks to have a new sump pump installed in their basement after realizing the DIY version wasn't keeping up with the demands of their home. American Waterworks was a no-brainer for these two, as our Team had previously installed our Geo-Lock Foundation Wall Anchor reinforcement system in the home back in 2013.
Christina M. in Forest City, IA noticed some cracking and bowing of her basement wall and was concerned about the pressure that was being put on her foundation. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to inspect her home and provide her with the best solution. Ryan developed a thorough, unique proposal to permanently restore her foundation. Christina approved of the plan and scheduled the installation.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew drilled small holes through the failing block foundation and into the soil surrounding the home. They secured each end of the metal rods with anchor plates and tightened them as far as they would go. Wall anchors should be tightened over time to continue the process of straightening the damaged wall. Having wall anchors installed saved this foundation from failing completely and now Christina’s peace of mind is restored knowing her foundation is permanently stabilized.

Bryan A. in Forest City, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. The water had started to cause damage to his property and was creating a musty, unhealthy space. He heard our advertisement on the radio and decided to give us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Dylan designed a thorough plan and assured Bryan that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed 164 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and 36 feet of lateral line. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Bryan was pleased with the results, and glad he made the investment to protect his home.

Worried this could be a sign of a major issue, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner looked into "crawl space repair companies near me". One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner took a closer look at our crawl space before and after photos. Impressed with our work, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists to the home to take a closer look. The Design Specialists promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the crawl space. During his inspection, the Design Specialist discovered the insulation was falling due to excess moisture. This was also the culprit for the musty doors. To stop these issues from progressing, the Design Specialist recommended encapsulating the entire crawl space. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go ahead with the Design Specialists recommendations. Next, the Design Specialist passed the proposal to our Logistics team to build. Our Logistics team built and scheduled the project, then it was assigned to our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew. Kiko and his crew traveled to the home and started the installation. First, Kiko and his crew cleared the debris and made sure the space was clear. Next, Kiko and his crew shifted their focus to installing the Drianage Matting on the crawl space floor. Once the Drainage matting was secured, the crew attached CleanSpace to the crawl space floors and walls. Additionally, the crew attached Foamax to the crawl space walls. After all the products were secured, Kiko and his crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is delighted to assist their homeowners in repairing their damaged crawl spaces.
