Front Walkway Gets a Lift in Hugo, MN

A homeowner from Hugo, MN, was growing tired of constantly tripping over his front stairs. His front concrete walkway had been slowly sinking for years, slowly pulling away from the steps, creating the trip hazard. Not wanting the issue to worsen or even impact a future sale of the home, he decided to begin the research process. During his search, he found the American Waterworks website and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, headed out to the home.

Once Kyle finished his inspection of the concrete, he met with the homeowner and informed him that American Waterworks could help fix his issue using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back into place. He went on to say that we finish our lifting process by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the concrete slab, preventing any debris or moisture from getting below the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and work was scheduled for a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no issues. Now our homeowner can enjoy his space without worrying about trip hazards!

Basement Space Revamped In Taylors Falls, MN

Jillian and Nathan of Taylors Falls, MN had water leaking through the floor of their basement, along with musty smells and damaged walls, causing them to worry about the state of the home. Our office staff contacted them and set the pair up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick. Rick went to the home to inspect the problem and devise a solution. Rick proposed they invest in our waterproofing solutions to properly address and resolve the issues. Jillian and Nathan were comfortable with the proposal and went ahead with the solution.

Foreman Raul and his crew headed to the property to begin implementation. First, they began by clearing debris and readying the spaces for installation. They then installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier installed right onto the problem walls, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. It is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners so it never falls. It also prevents any humidity from invading the walls and gives the basement and clean and bright appearance with a 25-year warranty; this also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. Next, the team worked on our WaterGuard System, which serves as an underground drain, collects water from basement walls, and prevents water clogs. Along with that, they installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump System which has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home, then the battery will keep the pumps draining any excess water build-up. Finally, our team added an Aprilaire dehumidifier, which creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days' time when set to 50% relative humidity.

The pair was happy with the work and had a great experience with our production crew! If you are experiencing a similar issue, please give us a call and claim your FREE estimate today!
