Ashley N. of Saint Louis Park, MN had water leaking from her pre-existing sump pump and from her basement walls, making her feel nervous about the water moisture and humidity in her home. She called our office and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Jared Bruns. Jared went to her home, inspected the problem, and came up with a solution. Ashley was comfortable with Jared's proposal, so they went ahead and got an installation date scheduled.
Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replacing it with our SuperSump Plus M53, which is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time, especially during harsh weather conditions. Next, our crew broke out half the wall perimeter and broke out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the work, our team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

Brett T. in Minneapolis, MN noticed his floor was sloping and had started to crack. He also had some wooden support posts in the basement that were cracking, and he was concerned about the stability of his home. He did his research and was happy to learn that American Waterworks has been restoring foundations for 30 years! We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Brett, evaluate the situation, and propose a custom designed solution for his home.
Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production crew were successfully able to restore the structural integrity of Brett’s home by installing 7 of our SmartJacks and supplemental beams. Our SmartJack support system is made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. It supports the failing structure and can also often lift failing floor joists, restoring them to their original position. Brett is happy with the project and can rest easy, knowing his home has been stabilized.
Margaret G. in Blaine, MN had a sidewalk leading up to her stoop that was sinking. She wanted to find an affordable, yet effective way to repair her concrete, so she started to look for a contractor to help her. She heard an ad for American Waterworks on the radio and was interested to learn more about our concrete repair solution, so she called us, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to her home to provide her with a solution.
She was pleased to learn that PolyLevel is a faster, more affordable, and durable option compared to traditional concrete repair. One of our PolyLevel experts, Troy Johnson, drilled penny-sized holes in the concrete slab in front of her steps. He then injected the PolyLevel foam until the concrete was raised to be even with the steps. Lastly, he sealed the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. The process only took about two hours, and now Margaret will be able to enjoy a raised and level front stoop for years to come.

A customer from Minneapolis, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his front walkway was sinking away from his front steps, creating a tripping hazard and pooling water. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would risk worsening the hazard. When he called in we set him up with our FREE estimate. Once his appointment was scheduled, we sent our Design Specialist, Mike, out to the property to see what could be done. Once he had completed his inspection, he recommended that our customer think of using our PolyLevel solution to lift the walkway. Mike explained that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Ben, and his Co-Foreman, Jake, began the process of lifting the walkway by strategically drilling holes into the problem slab. Next, they injected the foam into the holes, making sure to pay close attention to the lifting process to avoid overcorrecting. Once the process was done, our customer was happy to know that he didn't need to work about tripping hazards in front of his home anymore!
A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed a slight horizontal crack in their foundation. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner looked to have an expert visit their home and provide them with some answers. Knowing we have done excellent work around their area, the homeowner looked at the foundation repair services that we offer. Impressed with our extensive lists, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowners prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Nick. Once Nick arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowners and began his inspection. Once he completed the inspection, Nick determined that the wall was cracked due to the excess pressure being put on the wall. To stop this from worsening, Nick suggested that the wall be permanently stabilized. After deliberating their options, the homeowners knew this was their best option. Once they received approval, our Foreman, Jose and his crew traveled to the home. The crew arrived and began by preparing the lawn and wall for the GeoLock installation. GeoLocks is an innovative wall anchor system that permanently stabilizes your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to untouched soil beyond your foundation. The crew installed five GeoLock anchors along the west basement wall. After all the GeoLocks were secured into place, the crew could clean up their site and leave the home. The homeowners were thankful to know that their wall was properly stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to provide another homeowner peace of mind.
