A homeowner in Fridley, MN, knew their home needed serious help. Knowing they had an extensive list of issues, the homeowner wanted to find a company that could fix them all. During their hunt, the homeowner came across our website and was impressed with our extensive list of services. Soon after, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the appointment was set, we sent one of our Design Specialist, Jesse, to perform an inspection of the foundation and sidewalk. Jesse arrived at the home and introduced himself to the homeowner, then began the inspection. Following his detailed inspection Jesse found that their foundation was struggling and the sidewalk was sinking. Jesse recommended the foundation be permanently stabilized and the sidewalk is lifted and leveled. The homeowner agreed and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Jordan, and his crew traveled to the home and started the project. First, the crew focused on stabilizing the foundation with GeoLock anchors. The crew attached five GeoLock anchors on the west wall. Once the GeoLocks were secured, the crew shifted their focus to lifting and leveling the concrete sidewalk. To lift and level the sidewalk, the crew utilized PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. After the crew successfully lifted and leveled the sidewalk, they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the wonderful work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to assist its customers with multiple issues in their homes.
A homeowner in Richfield, MN, noticed their basement began to smelly musty. Unsure of what was causing this odor, the homeowner started looking for an expert to provide them with some answers. During their hunt, the homeowner came across a NextDoor review that caught their eye. The homeowner noticed our high ratings on Nextdoor and was impressed enough to sign up for their FREE estimate. After setting the estimate, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Darin, one of our Design Specialists. Darin made his way to the home to begin the detailed inspection. Following Darin's thorough inspection, he noticed the basement needed a waterproofing makeover. Darin recommended our award-winning waterproofing products, and the homeowners agreed. The plans were sent to the office, then to our Foreman, Lane, to begin the project. Lane and his crew started the project by installing the WaterGuard, our below-floor drain system, around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew could shift to replacing the old sump pump with the SuperSump+. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace along the basement walls. Finally, the crew installed a buried discharge line. Once all the products were successfully installed, the crew cleaned up their products and left the home. The homeowner was pleased with the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to provide its homeowners peace of mind.
A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner was dealing with a leaky basement. Each time it rained, it seemed as though water would pool on the floor and in the corners of the basement. In the interest of protecting his home, he decided to look for Minneapolis basement waterproofing and eventually found our website. He decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Mac C, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
Mac got right to work inspecting the basement to see what we could do. When he concluded, Mac met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Mac wanted to use our WaterGuard. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. It works to collect water entering from holes or cracks in the basement floor, giving it a channel to the appropriate disposal site, a pre-placed sump pump. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. The homeowner liked the sound of the work and decided to schedule the work for some time later.
On the day of the project, Lane S, our Foreman, led his team through a flawless installation. Now, our customer can enjoy her home knowing that that her water intrusion issue has been handled!
A homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, had just learned about the dangers of radon gas on a household and was worried that her home could be infested with the gas so she decided to find a radon specialist in her area. When she found our website, she signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, was headed out to the home.
When Dave arrived, the first portion of his inspection was to place a continuous radon monitoring test in the basement of the home to adequately gauge the levels in the home over some time, delivering an average after a 48-hour timespan. Dave explained to the homeowner that the Environmental Protection Agency recommends taking action with any levels higher than 4 pCi/L. Dave went on to say that, should the homeowner level return higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly recommend the installation of a radon mitigation system. A typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by a professional, this system will lower the concentration of radon gas in interior areas to minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner agreed with Dave's recommendation but decided to wait until the levels returned to make a choice. 48 hours later, Dave was back at the home to read the results, which returned marginally higher than the recommended action levels, so Dave and the homeowner worked together to find the best day for an installation.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Geno M, and his team effortlessly placed the system in the home, successfully restoring our customers peace of mind in the air circulating in her home!
Ted A. of Minneapolis, MN had cracked and uneven concrete around his home and he wanted it repaired to fit his needs. He did some research and looked at our concrete repair projects. Our Foreman, Steven Kundert, injected 71 pounds of our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to raise and stabilize the surface. Our PolyLevel is a special kind of foam that cures quickly and prevents soil corrosion. Next, Steven applied 48 feet of our NexusPro, which is a sealant that gets applied over the cracks to provide flexibility, stand up to harsh weather, and prevent further cracking. Ted was thrilled with the work and can no longer see concrete cracks from across the street!
