Waterproofing Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, discovered damp walls and wet floors throughout their basement. Worried about the long-term effects it could have on their home, the homeowner began searching for a solution. During their hunt, the homeowner looked into "waterproofing Minneapolis MN" and came across our website. Impressed by our award-winning solutions and services, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate on our website. Soon after, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Daniel, to the home to perform the estimate. Once Daniel arrived at the home, he investigated the basement and found several signs of water intrusion. Daniel alerted the homeowner to these findings. To stop the water intrusion from continuing, Daniel recommended installing the WaterGuard in the problem corner of the home. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed and the plans were sent to the office. After the office approved and built the job, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Lane, and his crew. The crew traveled to the home to start the project. Once they arrived, Lane and his crew started by laying WaterGuard in the north corner of the basement. The crew successfully installed the WaterGuard and tied it to the home's current sump pump system. Once the WaterGuard was properly installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was glad to know their basement was safe from any water issues. American Waterworks is happy to provide homeowners with peace of mind.

Egress Window Well Gets Upgraded in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, was in the market for an upgraded egress window. The previous window well had been handmade and was no longer up to code. Not wanting to sacrifice safety any longer, he began to search for a company that could help. When he found our website, he signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, headed out to the home.

Once Dave completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss recommendations. Dave informed the homeowner that he was recommending the installation of our RockWell window well. He explained that RockWell offers an attractive alternative to ugly window wells while providing a safe, code-compliant basement egress. RockWell window wells are a one-piece, rigid construction that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They’re UV stable, rust, and rot-proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures. Our egress window wells meet the IRC Egress Code Requirements, providing you and your family with a direct escape from any of the inhabited rooms in your basement. A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement. While they are not intended for continual foot traffic, the 10mm fluted polycarbonate cover will hold up to 500 lbs. of weight and prevent family members from accidentally falling into the window well. The homeowner liked the sound of Dave's recommendation and scheduled the job for a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco, and his team were able to replace the egress with no complications. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement space without worries of his window well not being up to code.

Sinking Concrete Patio Gets a Lift in Blaine, MN

A Blaine, MN, homeowner had been dealing with an issue for a while. His concrete patio was slowly sinking, creating a trip hazard. The homeowner didn't want any more damage to come to his backyard, so he decided to sign up for one of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Romeo, headed out to the home.

Once Romeo completed his inspection, he delivered his recommendations to the homeowner. He explained that we could address the sinking concrete using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion and to slowly lift the concrete back to its desired location. Romeo then said that once the lift is complete, our team would go in with our NexusPro. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant that gets applied directly to cracks and joints in the lifted concrete. It works to prevent unwanted moisture from getting below the slab to the vulnerable concrete below. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan and scheduled the job to be completed several weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Troy J, and his team headed out to the home and completed the lift and seal with no complications. Now our customers can enjoy their outdoor space without worrying about trip hazards!

Concrete Stairs Get Lifted and Leveled in Minneapolis, MN

A customer from Minneapolis got in contact with us when he began to notice that his front steps were beginning to sink. He knew that if he left it alone, the issue would continue to worsen, creating a tripping hazard and becoming more costly to fix down the road. When he called in, he claimed his FREE estimate and our Design Specialist headed out to the property. Once there, he completed a thorough inspection into the issue and then made his recommendations as to how we could help. He recommended the use of our PolyLevel injected, followed by sealing the cracks and joints with our NexusPro solution. He explained that the PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that has a quick curing time and is much less invasive than alternative methods. He went on to say that the NexusPro works to seal all cracks and joints to prevent any further water from getting under the slab. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.

Our PolyLevel production team, led by Dylon, began the process by strategically drilling holes into the problem slab. Next, they inserted the PolyLevel and closely monitored the lifting process to ensure the slab returned to its previous state. Once done, the customer was happy to know her tripping hazard had been eliminated!
