A concerned homeowner from Minnetonka, MN, enlisted our services when she suspected that her home was infested with Radon gas, which is incredibly harmful when inhaled for prolonged periods of time. Our Radon Design Specialist went out to the property and set up a Continuous Radon Monitor (CRM) to find out what the levels in the home were. After 48 hours, our Design Specialist returned for the kit and found the levels in the home to be above 4 pCi/L. The Nation Radon Defense recommends homeowners take action to lower the levels if they are above 4. Our Foreman, Geno, scheduled a time for the homeowner to set up a Radon mitigation system that works to expel the Radon out and away from the home. Now this homeowner can have peace of mind knowing that she has taken the right steps towards breathing cleaner and safer air!
A customer from Minnetonka, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his basement wasn't retaining heat the way he would have liked. He was afraid that, if left untreated, he would continue to face higher-than-average energy bills due to his inefficient space. When he called in to see if we could help, we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection by one of our System Design Specialists. Once the appointment was set, one of our Design Specialists, Ryan P, headed out to Joe's house to assess the situation. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to make his recommendations. Ryan wanted to use our Basement to Beautiful insulated wall panels. Ryan explained that these panels are the superior choice for a dry, energy-efficient basement. He went on to say that these panels are unique as they are designed with advanced SilverGlo graphite-infused insulation that provides 24% more energy savings than conventional foam products. In essence, it creates a protective blanket around the basement that will never support rot or mold growth, while still offering the potential to finish the basement in the future, should the customer decide to. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Lane, and his crew worked diligently to install the panels. In the end, they had covered the space in 128 ft of the Basement to Beautiful panels. Now our customer doesn't need to worry about whether or not his basement is costing him unnecessary amounts of money each month!
A homeowner in Minnetonka, MN, was sweeping the leaves off their driveway when they discovered the slabs were overlapping one another. Wanting to get the problem solved, the homeowner began searching for a solution. The homeowners did not want to have their driveway concrete completely replaced, so they looked for a repair option instead. During their search, the homeowners came across our us, American Waterworks. Seeing we do concrete repairs, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate appointment was created, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Michel, to investigate the cause of the overlapping concrete. Michel arrived at the home and started inspecting the concrete. After his inspection, Michel determined that the concrete was sinking, causing the overlap. To prevent further sinking, Michel suggested that the homeowners lift and level the driveway. The homeowners agreed with Michel's suggestions and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew arrived at the home to begin the lifting and leveling process. The crew utilized the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, to lift and level the concrete. Once the concrete was lifted, the crew shifted their focus to filling the several cracks and joints throughout the concrete. To fill these problem areas, the crew used the NexusPro Joint Sealant. Once all the cracks and joints were sealed the crew was able to clean up the job site and move on to the next job. The homeowner was pleased to know their driveway was no longer at risk. American Waterworks is happy to help another customer lift and level their concrete.
A homeowner from Minnetonka, MN, noticed that his front walkway was beginning to separate from his front step, causing an eyesore and, more importantly, a trip hazard. He decided to start the search for a company that could fix the issue. He saw one of our printed ads in a local magazine and decided to give us a call and claim his FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Mitch S, headed to the home to see what could be done.
Once Mitch completed his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner and informed him that American Waterworks could address the sinking with the help of our PolyLevel solution. He explained that PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. He finished by saying that we finish all of our concrete installs with our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete and works to prevent any unwanted moisture or debris from getting beneath the slab. The homeowner liked the sound of Mitch's plan, and a few weeks later the project began.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Ryan, and his team made quick work of the project. Now, our customer can enjoy a trip-free walkway!

A Minnetonka, MN, homeowner had been dealing with a sinking front walkway for a while, but the issue had gotten worse in the last year. The extreme soil washout below had caused a void to form below the slab, leading to the eventual crack of the concrete slab. This crack had resulted in a nasty trip hazard. The homeowner didn't want any guests or family members to take a tumble over the uneven concrete so he decided to take action. The homeowners had American Waterworks out to their homes to deal with an issue in previous years, so they called us up again to see if someone could come take a look at the concrete.
A few weeks later, their original Design Specialist, Brian R, headed out to the home. Brian explained that we could address the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel. He explained that PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It fills voids left by soil erosion, and slowly lifts the sunken slabs back to their original position. Brian went on to say that he wanted to preserve the lift with the installation of our NexusPro, stating that NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete. It has been specially designed to stand up against harsh weather conditions, ensuring the lift is protected. The homeowner liked the sound of Brian's plan and scheduled the job for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Troy J, and his team effortlessly completed the lift and seal. Now, our customer can have faith in his front walkway again!
