Kevin explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of a damp basement is a failed footing drain. When this fails, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation. Water enters through the joints between the wall and the footing. For this reason, Kevin recommended WaterGuard, our drain system that collects water at the perimeter of the basement and sends it to the sump pump, TripleSafe, our elite sump system that comes with three levels of protection, CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that collect water leaks and directs it to the drain system, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to leave in case the sump pump pipes freeze. After reviewing Kevin's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date. 

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Gabriel R., and his crew arrived at the home to carry out the installation. In order to fully stabilize the damaged foundation, our production crew installed 6 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the basement wall. The anchor rods were drilled deep into the soil outside of the home and wall plates installed on each end of the rod to secure the anchor. Then, they tightened the anchor to start the process of straightening the wall. Audrey is happy she made the investment to protect her home.

A homeowner in Harvey, ND noticed a wall crack growing in the upstairs of their home. Concerned by the deep cracks, the homeowner wanted to find a solution before the issues progressed. The crew began by breaking up and hauling away any concrete that fell from the failed ledge. Then the crew installed the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement with the feedline in to connect the two ends. Additionally, SmartJacks were installed to support the main beam across the basement. Finally, Everbrace was installed on the west and south basement walls to stabilize permanently. The homeowner was beyond pleased that their home had been saved from possible demolition. American Waterworks was happy to please another customer.
