Kris R. in Oelwein, IA was suffering from a wet basement. She had been dealing with this challenge for a couple of years and was ready to find a long-term solution. She contacted American Waterworks, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, to her home to inspect the basement and develop a solution. She was impressed with our products and agreed with the proposal, so she set a date to have our waterproofing system installed.
Our production team installed the WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor and connected it to the TripleSafe sump pump that we installed. After the drainage system and sump pump were installed, we replaced the concrete and cleaned the work area. The installation took two days to complete, but now her peace of mind has been restored and she is confident that her basement will remain dry.

Joe and Carolyn of Oelwein, IA, had begun to notice that the stairs and adjoining porch in front of their home were beginning to sink. The couple was worried that if the problem was left unresolved, the gap forming between the stairs and the home would only worsen, creating a bigger trip hazard and a bigger, and more expensive, problem to fix later down the road. They came across our services and decided to get in contact with us to see what could be done. When they called in, set them up with one of our FREE estimates, and our Design Specialist, Tim, was able to go out to the property and do a thorough inspection. Once he concluded, he was able to inform Joe and Carolyn that they were experiencing this issue because the soil beneath the slabs was sinking because of excess rain or heat, causing the soil to shrink. He recommended the couple fix the issue quickly to avoid any further issues down the line. He recommended they use our PolyLevel injection to raise the concrete back to its former state and follow up with our NexusPro to seal the joints connecting the slab and the home and to seal off any remaining holes or points of entry for water. Our Foreman, Jake, and his crew began the project by strategically drilling holes into the problem concrete slabs. Next, they injected the foam into the holes, paying close attention to the slab as it was lifted. Finally, they sealed off any remaining holes with the NexusPro.
When the job was complete, Joe and Carolyn were happy they no longer had to worry about trip hazards forming!

Cheryl M. of Maynard, IA had a single-paneled, steel-framed window in her basement that was starting to rot. Our Service Technician, Darin, was out at her house for annual maintenance on her sump pump system. He noticed that her window was musty and flaky, so he proposed our EverLast Replacement Basement Windows. Cheryl got all of her questions answered about the product, so she signed Darin's proposal.
Our Foreman, Hugo, and his production team began the project by breaking out the pre-existing window and replacing it with our EverLast Replacement Basement Window. These windows are vinyl-framed, energy-efficient, and have much more protection than steel-framed windows. To complete the installation, Hugo applied a special sealant around the window, which keeps moisture out and helps prevent any future flooding. Cheryl was happy with the work that was done!
