A homeowner from Arlington, MN got in contact with us when they learned of hazardous radon gas and wanted to have their home tested to make sure the air they were breathing was healthy. They searched for a company that deals with Radon and came across our website. They decided to take advantage of our FREE, no-obligation estimate into the issue. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kevin, headed out to the property to assess the situation. Part of Kevin's visit was leaving a Radon test kit in the basement of the home. Once the Radon test kit had sat in the basement long enough, the sample was sent in for evaluation. The numbers can back reading 12.7 pCi/L, which is extremely high. The EPA recommends taking action on any radon levels over 4 pCi/L. Kevin let the homeowners know that while the numbers were high, our Radon mitigation system would bring those numbers way down to inhabitable conditions. He went on to say that the mitigation system works to pull radon from the home, piping it upwards, and expelling it out through the top of the home, and out and away from the house. The homeowners agreed and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Geno, and his team make quick work of the installation. Once the job was completed, the homeowner was thrilled to know that they could take a breath of relief with clean air.

Penny P. in Gaylord, MN was referred to American Waterworks by a previous customer. She had cracked and bowing basement walls, and she was concerned about the structural integrity of her foundation. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, to meet with Penny, evaluate the situation, and propose the best, cost-effective solution. Penny was impressed with Jeremy’s presentation, and she moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew were able to successfully stabilize the basement walls by installing 7 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the damaged foundation. The anchor rods were drilled deep into the soil outside of the home and wall plates installed on each end of the rod to secure the anchor. Then, they tightened the anchor to start the process of straightening the wall. Penny’s peace of mind has been restored, and she is glad she made the investment to protect her home!

A Town Home association in Delano, MN had a situation where water was leaking into the basement of a tenant’s Town House. They reassured that tenant that they would resolve the situation as quickly as possible, so they contacted American Waterworks to waterproof the basement.
When our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson, entered the basement to provide them with a FREE estimate, he discovered that their old sump pump had failed and that had caused the wet basement.
