Mary F. of Hokah, MN had water in her basement, causing her to worry about water moisture and structural damage, so she did some research on Google for contractors who service her area. She came across American Waterworks, so she called our office and scheduled a no-obligation, FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac. Mac went to her home, carefully inspected her basement, and determined the solution of our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier and our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain. Mary was confident in Mac's presentation and our products, so she signed his proposal and got a date scheduled for the installation.
Our Foreman, Raul, and his production crew started the installation by jackhammering out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, which is the most common basement waterproofing product that we provide for homeowners. It collects water seepage from basement walls, prevents water and mud clogs, and it has service ports that make it easy to inspect during annual maintenance. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace around the basement wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace prevents mold and mildew, gives the basement a nice, clean finish, and it covers holes and divots. To complete the installation, our team filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Mary was happy with the work and her experience!

After Edgar arrived at the home, he began inspecting the WaterGuard system that was already installed in the home. Edgar completed the inspection and the system passed with flying colors. Since Edgar was at the home, the homeowner asked about fixing a raised sidewalk. Edgar inspected the concrete and noticed several areas required lifting, the sidewalk and the garage apron. Once he found the problem areas, he could provide the homeowner with a suggested solution. The homeowner agreed and the plans were sent to the office for approval. First, the installed PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, underneath the sidewalk and garage apron. Once the PolyLevel installation was complete, the crew shifted their focus to inserting NexusPro on the damaged sidewalk joints. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the lawn cleaner than before. The homeowner was grateful for the work completed by the crew.
