A customer from Onalaska, WI got in touch with us when he began to notice his front walkway was beginning to sink, creating a large gap between the ground and his door. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would run the risk of experiencing a nasty trip due to the height difference. When he called in he used his FREE estimate to have our Design Specialist, Romeo, out to his property do a thorough inspection. Once Romeo completed his walkthrough, he recommended our customer use our PolyLevel injection to lift the slab, erasing the gap. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Dylon, began the process by strategically drilling holes into the concrete slab. Next, he injected the PolyLevel into the hole. As the foam hardens, it expands, lifting the slab. Dylon closely monitored the process to ensure it returned to the correct place. Finally, he sealed the joints and holes of the project using our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Once the job was complete, our customer was happy to know that his worries about tripping were in the past!

He found the American Waterworks company website and after looking through what we had to offer, signed up for one of our FREE estimate appointments. A homeowner from Onalaska, WI, had been keeping an eye on his failing garage wall for some time. Over the years, the blocks had begun to separate, causing the wall to bow inward. The homeowner was worried about the structural integrity of the structure and decided to find a foundation specialist in WI to help. When he found American Waterworks, he signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel R, headed out to the home.
After Michel finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner. He informed him that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from above, not from the side. When the side pressure on the wall exceeds what it can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom of the wall, and/or tilting inward at the top. Michel went on to say that he had the perfect solution: our GeoLock anchors. He explained that these innovative anchors counteract soil pressure by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed, undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall to connect the two anchors, wall anchors can even be used to straight walls in many cases. The homeowner needed some time to think about Michel's proposal but eventually signed on for the job.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Gabriel R, and his team worked tirelessly to install 4 of our GeoLock anchors along the problem wall. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing that his garage is stable!
A homeowner from Onalaska, WI, had heard lots of his friends and neighbors talk about having their home tested for radon gas. The homeowner didn't know much about the dangers of radon gas but decided to educate himself on the topic. After finding out that radon is a radioactive gas released during the breakdown of soil around a home's foundation, he decided it might be in his best interest to consider having his home tested. One day he saw one of our print ads in a local shopper, informing him that we offer radon testing and mitigation. He called the next day and scheduled his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Nate B, was headed out to the home. When Nate arrived, he began the inspection by placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. This test works to gauge and record radon levels in the home for 48 hours, delivering average radon levels when the test is complete. After Nate finished the rest of his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to go over his recommendations. Nate began by saying that if the levels in the home returned higher than 4 pCi/L, he would recommend installing a radon mitigation system. A typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon mitigation specialist, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner was impressed with Nate's approach, and the two decided to touch base once the results of the test were back. 48 hours later, Nate returned to the home to read the results, which returned much higher than the EPA's recommended 4 pCi/L. The two then worked to find the best day for the project to be installed.
A month or so later, our Foreman, Geno M, and his Co-Foreman, Gus R, were headed out to the home to install the system. When they finished the project, our customer was thrilled to know that he was one step closer to fresh air circulating his home!
