A Winona, MN, homeowner had been keeping an eye on his basement wall for some time now. He had been aware of a large crack running the length of one of the walls and was ready to find a solution. Michel's inspection was scheduled for 3 hours, during which time he inspected the basement, the basement walls, and the exterior of the home. Michel began by saying that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from the top, not the side. So when the pressure on the side of a wall exceeds what it can withstand, homeowners will commonly see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom of the wall, and/or tiling inward at the top. Michel reassured the homeowner that while the diagnosis might seem a bit scary, he had just the solution to fix the problem: our PowerBrace system. Michel explained that these steel I-beams will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustments. Over time, the PowerBraces can be tightened to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical. Nate recommended lifting and leveling the driveway. The homeowner agreed and the plans were sent to the office to be finalized. Once the plans were completed, they were directed to our Foreman, Dylon. Dylon and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew lifted the garage apron, walkway, and northwest driveway slabs with PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution. Once the slabs were raised, the crew filled the cracks with the NexusPro Crack Repair, a silicone-based product. The crew successfully finished the project, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was thankful for the excellent work completed by the crew. Our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, started the installation process by drilling a hole in the slab foundation of the home and connected a PVC pipe. The radon gas is drawn upward, and the pipe guides it to the fan. The fan draws and vents radon safely above and away from the home. 

A homeowner in Dodge, WI was tired of dealing with the large bump in between two of the concrete slabs in his front walkway that also resulted in a crack. Whenever he had people over it was always an area of concern if they were to trip over the bump. Not wanting to have that situation happen if the problem was left alone, he went online to see what services were in the area.
