This concrete slab, next the garage, sunk 8 inches. American Waterworks was able to lift the concrete back to it original position and the homeowner was able to drive on the slab 30 minutes later.
Jill from St. Charles, MN, gave us a call when she began to notice that the stairs in front of her home were beginning to sink, creating a gap between the concrete stairs and the slab below. She was afraid that if she didn't address the issue she would run the risk of a tripping hazard forming, potentially costing more to fix later down the road. When she called in she was able to use her FREE estimate, which entitled her to a 3-hour inspection into the issue by one of our Design Specialists from our concrete and radon division. Once he arrived at the property he did his walkthrough, and when completed, made recommendations as to how we could help Jill. Our Design Specialists wanted to use our PolyLevel to lift and level the slab. He explained to Jill that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that, when injected below a concrete slab, fills the gaps caused by soil erosion and raises and stabilizes the concrete surface. To finish the project, he recommended Jill allow us to use our NexusPro joint and crack sealant. He informed Jill that our NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions, ensuring that your concrete will be kept safe from unwanted moisture. Jill gave the green light and work began shortly after. Our Production crew, led by Foreman Ben K., began the process by strategically drilling holes into the concrete slabs, and then injected the foam into the holes. They closely monitored the lifting and leveling process to ensure that the slab returned to its former state. To finish the project, they went over all cracks and joints between the house and the concrete with our NexusPro. When the work had been completed, Jill was happy to know that the potential tripping hazard had been dealt with.
Lisa A. of Wykoff, MN was having issues with her damp carpet and water coming into her basement, so she contacted American Waterworks to learn more about their basement waterproofing services. Our appointment center set her up with a FREE estimate with our Sales Manager, Eric Fox. Eric went to Lisa's house, carefully inspected her basement, and determined a plan that would prevent water from coming into her basement. Eric proposed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which serves as an underground drain. Lisa was confident in the product and its warranty, so she followed through with the project.
Our Foreman, Tremaine Jackson, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls and prevent any mud or water clogs. To complete the installation, our team filled the open-floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space was neat and clean. Lisa was happy with the work that was performed and had a great experience!

Mac C. had a dirt crawl space that was causing a musty smell through his home because of the moisture in that space. He also noticed that his energy bill was high, and he felt that he was losing energy from that space. He contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services. We sent a Design Specialist to inspect the crawl space and design the best solution. He was pleased with our proposal, so he scheduled the installation.
Our production team installed drainage matting, TerraBlock and SilverGlo along the dirt floor and the walls. Then, they covered the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, which keeps moisture out. After the installation, Mac noticed a reduction in his energy bills and was pleased that there was no longer a musty smell in his home.
