Debra and Kathy of Ulen, MN had water leaking into their basement, making them feel nervous about the value of their home. They did some research online and came across our American Waterworks website and our basement waterproofing products. They called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to their home to inspect their problem and come up with a solution. Debra and Kathy were confident in Rick's proposal, so they moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Tremaine Jackson and his team began the project by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement floor, forming a trench. Next, our crew applied 77 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System and secured it around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents mold and humidity from invading the basement and acts as an extra wall protectant. Then, Tremaine and his crew installed 77 feet of our WaterGuard System into the formed trench. Our WaterGuard collects water seepage from basement walls and acts as an underground drain that leads to outside. Lastly, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ryan. A few days later, Ryan promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection. One of the first companies to show up was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner took a closer look at our services. The homeowners were impressed with our products and knew they wanted to work with us. Next, they called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Since they had already worked with us, we sent one of our Service Technicians, Jack, to the home to perform the estimate. Following Jack's arrival, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began the inspection. During his inspection, Jack determined the sump pump needed to be replaced. Jack proposed his plan to the homeowner and they agreed. Next, the plans were passed along to our Foreman, Edgar, and his crew to start the installation. Once they arrived, Edgar and his crew began by taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. After the sump pump was replaced, the crew shifted their focus to installing a standard discharge line. Next, the crew attached an IceGuard to the outside discharge line. Edgar and his crew successfully installed all the products in the home, so they cleaned up their materials and left. The homeowner was relieved to know they have the best sump pump installed in their home. American Waterworks is happy to replace its homeowner's struggling sump pumps.
Bryan A. in Forest City, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. The water had started to cause damage to his property and was creating a musty, unhealthy space. He heard our advertisement on the radio and decided to give us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Dylan designed a thorough plan and assured Bryan that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed 164 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and 36 feet of lateral line. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Bryan was pleased with the results, and glad he made the investment to protect his home.
Bob, a homeowner in Grove City, MN, was having issues in his basement, as heavy rainfall led to water intrusion. Recognizing that this could lead to even bigger problems, Bob called American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist, Shane, traveled to his home to look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to recommend a plan to transform the basement into a healthy, clean space. He explained that small cracks in foundation walls are common in homes throughout the Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin area. Usually a side effect of the natural curing process of concrete, these cracks do not threaten the foundation. However, even small cracks in a foundation can be a significant problem if they leak groundwater into your basement or crawl space.
Bob was glad he reached out and was excited to get started. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew headed to the basement and got to work. First, they ensured the space was cleared and ready for the demo. Then, they completed a half-wall demo to address the damage properly. Next, they implemented our FlexiSpan® Foundation Crack Repair System to repair the leaking wall cracks. It's a patented, warrantied repair and a permanent solution.
To complete the project, our team replaced the concrete and left the area looking neater than when they found it. Bob was happy with the work that was done and was grateful we could assist him and his home repair needs!
