Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

He met with one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, who proposed a unique, permanent solution. 

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production crew started the installation by removing the concrete and laying 112 feet of the WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement. Then, they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls for a bright, clean look. CleanSpace is durable, washable, and has anti-microbial protection built right in. Jeremy from Glenwood City, WI got in touch with us when he began to notice unwanted water entering his basement. He was afraid that if left untreated, the problem would worsen and cause serious damage. When he called in we set him up with our FREE estimate and shortly after our Design Specialist, Mac, headed out to the property to see what could be done. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was able to make his recommendations as to how we could help fix the issue. Mac wanted to use three of our products to rid the space of water. First, he wanted to use our CleanSpace vapor barrier to redirect water. Mac explained that this tarp-like material gets installed directly onto basement walls and works to direct the flow of water down to his second recommendation, our WaterGuard French drainage system. He went on to say that the WaterGuard is installed below the concrete flooring and works to direct water to the appropriate location. For that location, Mac recommended a SuperSump sump pump. He explained that this effective and economic solution is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for an extended period of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion, as it's capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Raul, and his team ended up installing 78 ft of our WaterGuard drainage system, 1 SuperSump sump pump, and another 78 ft of our CleanSpace. When the job was complete our customer was happy to know he no longer had to worry about water entering his basement. 

A resident in Albert Lea, MN was experiencing water entering into his basement on one side of the home.  American Waterworks installed 55 feet of WaterGuard and the homeowner's basement has been dry ever since.  

Lori K. in Albert Lea, MN had an older home, and she was concerned about the stability of the foundation and the water leaking into her basement. She found American Waterworks in the phone book and gave us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to meet with Lori, evaluate the situation, and propose the best solution. Lori was impressed with Ryan’s presentation, and she moved forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production team were successfully able to stabilize Lori’s foundation with the installation of 10 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors around the deteriorating foundation. They began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and installing 100 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed the SuperSump sump pump with a battery backup and the CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to further protect the space from mold and moisture. Lastly, they installed the SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of any humidity and cleaned up their work area. Lori was pleased with the entire process and is glad she made the investment to protect her home! 

Justin from Baldwin, WI, had discovered water under his home's laminate flooring in the basement. They had ripped out the flooring and some of the wall to find three cracks in the foundation that had been repaired at some point, but were now letting water in. He wanted to discuss some foundation repair solutions with our team, so he called for a FREE estimate to understand our possible solutions. Our Design Specialist, Mac, traveled to her home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to make his recommendation for a plan to transform Justin's basement into a healthy, clean space. He recommended the customer invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. 

Foreman, Tremaine, and his crew, headed out and started making Justin's home a drier, safer place to live. First, our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

They then went to work installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in.
