A Faribault, MN, homeowner was looking to add a bedroom to his basement but was running into an issue. For his new addition to be a legal bedroom, he needed a means of egress that met codes of safety. He began the search for companies in the area that could help, and ended up finding our website. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist headed out to the home.
Once our Design Specialist completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Our Design Specialist recommended using our RockWell Window Well. RockWell offers an attractive alternative to ugly window wells while providing a safe, code-compliant basement egress. RockWell window wells are a one-piece, rigid construction that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They’re UV stable, rust and rot proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures. A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement. While they are not intended for continual foot traffic, the 10mm fluted polycarbonate cover will hold up to 500 lbs. of weight and prevent family members from accidentally falling into the window well. The homeowner liked the sound of our Design Specialist's plan and scheduled the work for a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Luis D, was able to install the RockWell with no issues. Now, our customer can enjoy his new addition, knowing its code-compliant!
A homeowner from Faribault, MN, was experiencing water intrusion. After each rain, he was left with standing water by the baseboard of his basement walls. Not wanting the issue to worsen, he found a MN basement waterproofing company. After coming across our website, he decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Darin S, headed out to the home.
Once Darin concluded his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Darin explained that because the water was entering the home through the walls and the floor, he was recommending three of our products. First, Darin wanted to install our CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets applied directly to unfinished walls. It works to trap water entering the space through holes and cracks in the foundation and direct it downwards, keeping it off the floor. To complement the CleanSpace, Darin suggested our WaterGuard, a below-floor French drain that collects water from the CleanSpace, as well as any water that is entering through the floors. The WaterGuard directs the flow of water to the appropriate disposal site, which Darin wanted to be our SuperSump. An effective and more economical solution, the SuperSump includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The homeowner liked the sound of the products working together, and scheduled the installation for a few weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Arturo M, and his team ended up installing 1 SuperSump, 23ft of CleanSpace, and another 136ft of WaterGuard. Now our customer can enjoy his basement without worries of water intrusion!

Eric S. in Cottage Grove, MN was experiencing water seeping through a wall in his basement during heavy rains. It had started to cause damage to his property, so he knew it was time to have a professional look at it. While researching waterproofing contractors, he found American Waterworks. He gave us a call and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to his home to give him a FREE estimate and to provide a solution. Eric was pleased with the waterproofing plan that Chad developed, so a date for the installation was set.
Our crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the wall that had water seeping in. The WaterGuard drains water to the newly installed SuperSump sump pump, and it is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Eric now has peace of mind that water in his basement is no longer a concern. He is glad he chose a long-term solution for his home.

Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, which is made to guide water into the WaterGuard, prevent any mold or mildew build-up, and act as a wall protectant barrier.
