Jill from St. Charles, MN, gave us a call when she began to notice that the stairs in front of her home were beginning to sink, creating a gap between the concrete stairs and the slab below. She was afraid that if she didn't address the issue she would run the risk of a tripping hazard forming, potentially costing more to fix later down the road. When she called in she was able to use her FREE estimate, which entitled her to a 3-hour inspection into the issue by one of our Design Specialists from our concrete and radon division. Once he arrived at the property he did his walkthrough, and when completed, made recommendations as to how we could help Jill. Our Design Specialists wanted to use our PolyLevel to lift and level the slab. He explained to Jill that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that, when injected below a concrete slab, fills the gaps caused by soil erosion and raises and stabilizes the concrete surface. To finish the project, he recommended Jill allow us to use our NexusPro joint and crack sealant. He informed Jill that our NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions, ensuring that your concrete will be kept safe from unwanted moisture. Jill gave the green light and work began shortly after. Our Production crew, led by Foreman Ben K., began the process by strategically drilling holes into the concrete slabs, and then injected the foam into the holes. They closely monitored the lifting and leveling process to ensure that the slab returned to its former state. To finish the project, they went over all cracks and joints between the house and the concrete with our NexusPro. When the work had been completed, Jill was happy to know that the potential tripping hazard had been dealt with.
